Whoops, I gave the oil filter # (1954) The fuel filter is NAPA #3401
Also, while a current conversation on air sucking 5 tons is in play here, Does anyone have a source, p/n for the selector valve?
Yeah, change the fuel filter--NAPA 1954 I think--just to be sure. And clean of the top of the IP real, real good and clean the strainer under the big flat screw--just to be sure. But it probably isn't the filter. As stated, it's an air leak--these guys are very prone to this problem.

For frustration with the 15 minute rule, I suggest cows.
Mine get milked at 5:00, so I enter my top bid and go to the barn.
Cows are also very good for getting you out of "couples" wedding showers, baptisms, weddings, family reunions, and lots of other dumb stuff.
Cows also get you ag plates...
Have you put the 11 x20 chains on the deuce yet? I bought 12 chains and am only using 6 on the 5 ton. Was thinking of trying them on a deuce. Take some pics when you get them on?
I did some searching here on the site. lots of good reading and info about heating our MVs. I did not however run across any part numbers. So, does anybody have the NAPA blower motor part number tucked away somewhere?
Thanks
Welcome maxspeed250. There are wonderful people here on SS, so I'm sure your move will work out. Hamlin, huh? I used to live just south of there in the town of Wheatland. Again, welcome and good luck.
Hello,
I can't speak the lingo when it comes to radios. I know lots about cows and trees and diesel mechanics but just about nothing when it comes to radios. Funny though, I do remember the call sign of my best friends HAM station: WB2ISJ. And the call sign of another friend's family CB sign...
Thanks surfdog. Here in VT, it's 15 years or older is not issued a title, and you get a transferable registration. I don't buy the SF97 either because I don't need it and as a matter of principle. The only document I can therefore give someone in the event I sell a truck is a signed over...
"If you do not have a title you do not own it"
Actually, if you do not have a title they are incapable of acknowledging your ownership. Nobody is going to question your ownership, they just won't let you drive it.
Every week there is at least one or more posts from guys dealing with title...
Like Bjorn said, drape them over the top, clip them, drive forward, take up the slack and re-clip, put on the bungee cords, done. If you drive over them you will swear a lot and take a long time to get it done.
I just did one of my 5 tons with new coolant when I did the block heater. I used Rotella ELC that i got at NAPA. It is pre-mixed 50/50 and doesn't require any SCA additives. Recommended for Cummins diesels. It costs too much. I'm doing the other truck today or tomorrow (block heater) and...
Tractor is home! Got here Sat morning. It is a 1990 re-build with very dead batts. Started with the slave cable and took it for a spin. No apparent problems. Replaced bad battery terminals and cleaned all the rest, repaired several fuel lines. Putting batts back in after lunch. Block heater...
