2 M37s Saved from the scrapper

Today at the hooch, PapaBear and the rest of us managed to drag the M37 in via forklift and did some work to it. I pretty much stood around and drank beer , watched/criticized/laughed at the shoddy work being done. Babybear supervised most of the day. We took out the water tank and...

    Well...I'm an idiot

Hi my name is Blue2 and I'm an idiot. I've been noticing a slight anti-freeze drip after driving my 1028 for the last 2 weeks. It would only drip maybe a tablespoon or so, sometimes more. It would leak at the lower left corner right where the core support met the radiator. It was all dry...

    Heater core Seal?

You might as well replace it if you're already down that far. But, if it looks good, save the $. The GM P/N is 6273325

    CUCV Detonation? - Knocking Noise

It sounds like most of the advice should/will cover what the problem is. Have you checked the operator level stuff the TM says to do? i.e check exhaust system, alternator mounts/brackets/belts, motor mounts? I looked in the TM for your symptoms and the troubleshooting it lists doesn't sound...

Wheel Pick Up in Clarksburg, WV or West Union, WV

    Turbo charger questions

My 1028 has a 6.5 TD out of a HMMWV. Do a little minor cutting on the firewall to clear the rear/center mounted turbo and it fits fine.

    Tiny Tach installed

Wallew, My 6.5 was custom built from the block up. The P.O said something about a star or a diamond on the casting meant that it was a good block and used that for the build. It has what looks like a diamond next to the numbers. If I read the casting right, it was made in early 2001. The...

    Tiny Tach installed

yea that's a good location, BUT that's where I have my boost and pyrometer gauges. I have no room to flush mount the tiny tach because I have a full gauge set. I just went with a semi permanent spot that can be easily moved.
