I mounted it slightly angled upwards. IMO it's in a good spot. I can see it just fine when I glance down to see my speed. I used a couple of layers of the adhesive tape on the bottom to adjust the viewing angle and only one piece of tape on the top of it to give it that upward angle. :grd:
Finally got around to installing the Tiny Tach in my 1028 today. It's a pretty neat Doo-hickey. I took it on the highway and am turning 2200 RPMs at 55mph (gps verified) and 2450 at 70mph (gps verified). Install time took about 30 min. I used 3M double sided sticky tape to mount the display...
WM this will be my 4th DITY move in 6 years. I'm SICK of doing full DITYs. Plus, the mileage rate went DOWN so the financial incentive isn't really there for me. This is the first time I'm letting the gov't move (and break) my stuff. I just have to figure out how I'm going to get a 3rd...
I appreciate the offer-I will keep it in mind! Although...I hear through the CAMO grapevine that you have a special place in your heart for CUCVs:x
I think I have a pin hole leak SOMEWHERE on the bottom my radiator. I am pressure testing it tomorrow and hopefully will find it. I drove it 420...

I have 3 vehicles and 1 wife. Im...

On my old 1009 (now Papabears 1009), I installed it next to the frame rail right next to the motor and wired it to the ignition circuit so it would only run when the key was turned to the on position. I used a cheapo electric pump from advance and it hasnt failed me yet in over 14 months. Buy...
here's a pretty cool thread that I found useful. Pretty simple and easy to make your own filtration system. You can add or take away as many in line filters that you want. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/alternative-fuels/69123-finished-wmo-filter-2nd-video.html
I haven't pulled the diff cover up front yet, but the rebuilt 205 I have in there pretty much is the icing on the cake. I didn't think much of it until CARNAC came back with it as a 1008...?
