Can anyone verify that If your serial # starts with 1GCH that you have an M1028, as opposed to an M1008? Because if that's the case, then I have been wrong about my truck all along.
here's a screen shot from my phone. The site works great from my "smart phone". :cookoo: This site is a LIFE SAVER when I have to sit in meetings. Since it's a "smart phone", no one thinks twice when I tell them I am taking notes....:whistle:rofl
I got rid of the autometer tach today. When i took the dash pad out to install the speakers, I went ahead and took it off. I don't like having that tach in my line of sight. I ordered a tiny tach which is on the way to my house that will replace the autometer tach. Not sure where I will...
I don't have any pictures right now, but I will take some in the morning. I used a stock 80's head unit, in the stock location. 3.5 inch in the dash corners, and 6x9's in boxes behind the bench seats. I ran the speaker wire for the rear speakers along the left edge of the cab and around the...
Yea I know that is the cable I need, but I'm not sure if you can just buy a chord for a block heater. If you can, does it matter what wattage the block heater is? Is it one chord works for all as far as wattage goes?
So I spent a couple of hours today wrenching on my truck putting in a new starter, 3.5'' speakers in the dash, and 6x9's in boxes behind my seats. I am using a stock Chevy C30 AM/FM radio. I know the thread is worthless with out a picture or two but I know that nobody cares to see speakers...
Lol yea it's me. That was taken a couple of miles East/southeast of the Syrian border. We stopped and talked to a couple of nomads and had a nice photo op.
perhaps this thread should be moved out of CUCV and into conversations?
where are you that you're rockin the old school M1114? I haven't seen an old one like that since 2007.
to answer your edited part of your thread- an M1A2 SEP...well I don't drive them anymore but being that Im a Tank...
You might as well replace them all while you are at it. Your best friend owning a CUCV will be a multi meter. The TM will tell you what the acceptable readings for glowplugs are. I believe it's around 3-4 ohms but don't quote me on it. The TM will steer you in the right direction. You can...
Heed his advice! All plugs get 12 volts via the resistor bank. The resistor brings it down from 24v to 12v. To answer your question, 60g's will work on your stock system. you might as well do the 12v bypass. It's cheap insurance AND it will save you the headache of dealing with...
Yea I have title from the P.O. The lady at the DMV told that it didnt matter if I had the PO's title. She said because it's an 84, they would not title it at all. Period. End of Story. I'll talk to you about your contact and see if he can get me a title.
The process can't be any different then titling another vehicle. I might just have to call back and try the nice guy routine. If that doenst work, I might just keep calling back and asking. If that doesn't work, maybe I'll call the head DMV office. I know it is just a title, but I'd still like...
I just wanted to confirm what I THINK I understand from the Army paint TM. I am getting ready to paint my M1008 and want to make sure I don't jack it up. I understand that 3=brown, 2=green, and 1=black. Am I correct?
heres the thread that I used and it worked out great. The napa filter number provided is a fuel filter/water separator with the water drain valve on the bottom of the filter housing. It's a great thread. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/cucv/36435-my-cucv-spin-fuel-filter-mod.html
cobra did you get a title? my office here in columbus wont title my m1008. said it was to old. But PB got the 1009 titled. :cookoo: I asked them multiple times for them to title it and they refused...
