45 MPH IS WIDE OPEN,WILL IT GO FASTER YES but at what cost. also 30 mph for 1/2 hr of constant driving and the t-case will be so hot if you spit on it -it will sizzle.
did some research on this version of the 855 engine. its definatly vehicle specific. it has a really small oil cooler, all from accessories are specific to this application, DEFINATLY NO PISTON OIL COOLERS and no provision for them. I,d be real leary in doing very much hop up to this engine and...
IF there isnt provisions for oilers rather machineing the block it would be alot better to just get a block or a whole engine and swap it out. also i,ve found going with lower press fit liners is a huge plus and it totally eliminates head gasket seepage. is there anyway someone can post a...
Is there provisions in the side of the block on the passenger side for piston oil coolers ? If there is its easy to install them, you dont even have to pull the pan. 300 BC3 SPEC,S WOULD BE NICE IN ONE OF THESE 5 TONS.
Guys i run small and big cam cummins engines for 22 yrs over the road. The best turbo for these if you want brute pulling power is 1 of these 2 turbos
cummins part numbers
3801919
or
3801918
and for you small can guys the best cpl for them is
industrial 420 hp
or magnum 400 hp
the...
Heres the way i remove it.
1. Take the best wire cutters you have and cut the line next to the t-fitting on side of engine block ( it will crumble, you,ll see)
2. Cut it again as far to the rear of the engine as close to the head fitting as possible
3. Then take open end wrench (cant remember if...
the back oil line isnt fine, please trust me on this. every one i,ve ever seen in 35 yrs is bad. it has caused almost all of the engine failyers on these trucks.
I,am in the market for a nice m927, must have hard top and heater, 250 cummins and allison trans. dont need a bed as i,am going to install a civy dump bed. must be a good runner. dont need super singles as duals will be fine. have several m715,s could possibly work a deal. going to be my farm...
Remove the air line (big one) from the air compressor and dump as much alcohol in it as will go,reconnect hose. Crank it up and let circulate. Then repete process 3-4 times. Should free up comtamination inside air dryer. Once working again change filter on dryer.
1st thing is replace the oil line from p/s of engine block to rear of head. guarantee is bad, check and change all fluids especitaaly the t-case. adjust brakes up ( if your going to road drive it switch master cyl to split m/c for safety reasons), grease all zerk fittings.
LOL GUY run the cpl,s at cummins. running a turbo on naturally asperated hi compression pistons lol on that. turbo pistons are alot lower compression because the turbo compinsates for it. if your just gonna drive the truck around it will work but if you work it thats when it will show up big time
YOU DO KNOW that adding a turbo to a non turbo engine its going to throw off your air/fuel ratio right. things that are substantually different.
pistons, timming, injectors, cam just for a start. i,ve run big and small cam cummins engines for almost 30 yrs and know them very well. you,d have been...
