Thanks for the pics and your feedback. Can you tell me how much further forward these sit? I know there is not much leg room using the stardard seats either. I sat in a frankencab once that had these seats but didn't notice a huge problem at the time. I am about 5'10" so maybe less of a problem...
I'm planning to install a set of USSC 9110 seats in my M923A2 and I would like to see pictures of other installations before I start.
So.... If you have installed them in your M939 series would you please post pictures here. If you have any advice to share on installation then I'm happy to...
I agree... I use Blackstone labs for my Cessna. They keep track of your previous samples and will tell you if something is abnormal or needs to be watched. They actually called me when my last sample showed increased signs of metal and told me to look for a ring problem. This was was very timely...
Now I Need a CTIS PCU Too
I'm looking for a funciontal or non-functional CTIS valve. I just need to replace one of the coils in my current PCU. Part number is 599757.
Unfortunately, I can't make it on Saturday but I plan on taking Friday afternoon off and spending a least a few hours at...
OK...I give up... I'm sure I'm just not entering the right key words in search field but I just can't seem to find the part number for the transmission modulator valve on a M923A2. Does anybody have the part number and a good source for one of these things.
Thanks,
Don
So... I pulled the PMU out this weekend and measured the resistance on the pins per the troubleshooting manual. Two of the coils are are OK but the control coil reads open circuit. Also... it appears that this coil has been replaced sometime in the past (old one cut off and spliced in with crimp...
I'm looking for left and right fender extensions for a M923A2. Mine are functional but are badly rusted and pitted where the two sections are spot welded together. I'm interested in a NOS set or something with only light surface rust if anyone has them.
I'm also looking for a M939A2 driver's...
I was driving my M923A2 this weekend and noticed a bounce at around 25-30 mph as I was drving in a 30 MPH zone. I think this is normal in just about every larger truck I have driven or was a passenger in. (I still recall my school bus years ago bouncing at certain speeds and it was really...
I don't think $7200 sounds too bad if it is in good condition. You might get a better deal on GL but maybe not. If it is close and you can inspect it, I would say go for it... you may be able to negotiate a better price too.
You can also take it for a test drive.
Don
I bought a M105A2 trailer from GL that was "Reworked by VSE Corporation" and doesn't have the original data plate. When I apply for the SF97/title through GL, I just plan to list VSE as the manufacturer and use the reworked date as the build date. I don't think this will cause any problems with...
Davit Boom Roller?
I had a similar noise coming from behind me on my M925A2 and it was the spare tire davit boom roller shaking around. I secured it with plastic zip ties and the noise went away.
My wife and I had a great time and met new people. We are looking forward to the next event.
I was able to snap a few pics from the air Saturday evening.
Update on Transmission Issue....
Here is an update on my transmission issue in case others have the same problem...
So I checked the transmission fluid level again this afternoon (several times just to be sure) and confirmed that the level was pretty low. I added 2 quarts of fluid and checked...
So I did some checking today and didn't find anything loose in the controls. When I first started the truck and shifted back and forth between N and R, I didn't hear anything abnormal. I checked the transmission level and it looked a just little low so I need to fill it up before getting too...
Everything else appears to be normal. The shifter locks positively, the transfer case is in high, lever is down. Front axle lever is in the out position.
The grinding sound stops once the transmission is in Reverse. The sound is very brief, lasting only about a second or less. After that...
