Well.....we got a new house...I had a big garage built out back for all the toys. She keeps the mower in the regular car garage. She used it this morning and pushed it in the big garage behind my m35.
She actually accused me of doing it on purpose'

I got the new tire on the wheel and was installing it on the truck when I noticed the metal mudflap and both the brackets next to the tire that blew were bent at a 45 degree angle. The power that thing had was enormous.
My next door...
The tube couldnt have done this damage. The tire is shredded from the inside rim to the outside. Its only 60' here today and its not sitting in the sun.
The only thing I can guess is there was a flaw and it picked today to let go.
I'm glad no one was behind the truck....it may have caused...
I was mowing the backyard today and out of my rear garage was a huge explosion. No sh*t...it scared me for just a minute. It sounded like a 105 blast simulator.
I ran over to the garage... the ten foot rollup was up and looked in.....no fire, lots of dust. I couldnt for the life of me figure...
There was enough material to do the drivers seat top and bottom.
I paid five bucks for the shelter half. It was brand new in the package.
They arent very expensive because there is no market for them from what my buddy tells me.

I have been looking for some GI green material to recover my seats.
I just happened to ask a buddy of mine who is a surplus dealer if he had seen any. He mentioned that nam era shelter halves were the same material and they were extremely plentiful and better yet.....cheap.
I picked one up...
For the money...it was quite an improvement. I found where about ten squeaks were in the cab. I hate squeaks and rattles.

Like most of you, my duece had cracked and broken windshield seals.
It was getting too bad to drive in the rain so I ordered a set from Teds Trucks.
I was dreading doing this but as it turned out the job wasnt too bad at all.
I had a bad drivers glass I had to replace anyway so it was a twofold...
I can live with that. It was such a pain in the ass to get a title....72 it is.
On another note...the DMV folks couldnt find a slot to identify my truck in Nevada....so its an AMG Hummer....says so on the title. :)

The wifes motivation for riding in the duece was money saving.
She placates my idiocyncracies when its to her advantage.
When i first picked the truck up from the old El Toro Marine base, it was a 300 mile drive home.....she made it as far as Barstow.
I was suprised she made it that far.
She is...
I had had my duece fo a little over a year....all this time my wife has been wondering "why". Yesterday I showed her and all is well in my world.
We recently moved to rural Utah after I retired. I bought an acre with no landscaping. Its almost spring here so I decided it was time to amend the...
