I have been reading what you guys that live in the cold country write about the Duece and snow. This morning I found out.
My Garage is 50 yards behind my house......I needed to move my Duece out so I could do some welding for my nephew.
Between the garage and the street is 50 yards of 2...
Driving thru Cedar City today I saw something that caused me to stop, back up, drive down the street and turn around and do it again.
It was an M35a2 with a cut in half wrecker truck made into a trailer, pintle hook and all.
The wrecker was cut just behind the cab and a six inch pipe tow hitch...
I disagree Ugg. I bought my duece from Ebay...for 4k and drove it home.
Excellent condition,300 miles and not a peep. The deals are out there.....you just have to be an informed, educated shopper......and....know how to spot a crook.

I just went and checked the Utah DMV site. They do have special interest plates...which do nothing for the holder....all the same fees and state inspections apply. To be legal for true antique plates the truck must be 40 years old...and.....the same fees and inspections apply.
Im gonna keep...
I was told Utah DOES NOT have special interest or antique plates. Im still running my Nevada plates til they run out.....then I will have to get the state inspection and the whole rigamarole.

It warmed up enough today to do some work on Bubba. I dont know if its a common problem but my hood rattled terribly. Made the truck even more noisy than normal. My hinges were really worn and loose.
I bought a set of hood hinges and installed them....man what a difference in sound. Well worth...
I dont know how to do a link but it should be easy to find.Ebay
Its whats advertised as an M35a2.....but it aint.....it looks to be a long wheelbase M36......with a late model glass frontend......and the cab has been cutdown and modified to look like a WWII CCKW. It says it has a 50 gallon fuel...
Hahahaha Bill.....hiway 50 is a tough road to travel I cant stay awake on it theres nothing to look at.
Hey Wick.....I was thinking I was all lone with my Duece in Utah. Do you get down this way much ?

I just recently moved from Las Vegas to South Central Utah.
In Vegas I had half a dozen requests to use my truck for the Veterans day parade. This week I called VFW and American Legion here and asked could they use the duece for their parade. Oh.....we dont do too much here for Veterans...
