I'd say yes. I'm 15 and bought a m1008 to fix up. there fine trucks, easy to work on, parts are easy to get for a military vehicle since it shares %90 of the parts with the civilian trucks. It's also relatively easy to work on. :-P
Alright thanks for the info. I was hoping to do a lift this summer and I'm pretty sure nothing been replaced on this truck yet so hopefully new shocks and springs will firm it up a bit. I guess I shouldn't use lift blocks for the rear?

yeah 4bogginchevys, u were right the rear was actually turnable and after some hard yanking on the wrench it came out. Just tapped the pitman arm with a hammer and it slowly slid right off. I sprayed some pb on the steering gear lines so hopefully they'll come off easy tommorrow when i have some...

SUCCESS!!! I still couldn't get it to turn with the wrench but when talking with my dad about it today turns out he had an impact wrench. Put on the proper adapter and nailed it with a mini sludge hammer couple times and waalah it came loose. Finally done the supposedly easy gear oil change...
