Hey,
I am part of the group coming from Middle Tennessee. I am excited. Should be fun! I am bringing my M1009 and M101a2.
Any Ham Radio operators coming? I notice Mike our chef has a radio. Anyone else? What's the good repeater in the area to hit off of? I am KK4LNG.
Should I Bring my...
Yes, thanks for the info. I have 5 watt panel I carry with me when I go camping in the country. Not something I would want to depend on, but if caught in a bind.

I also bought a Rare Electric Alternator as a spare. I couldn't find any info myself. I read about the isolated ground issues with a Wilson rebuild. I hope they aren't the same?
Thanks for any input on Rare.
I finally got a new Civi top with a roof rack installed. I bought this civi top about 8 months ago. My welder let me do a payment plan on the build out.
The civi top with tinted windows, sliding windows and adjustable vent really made a difference with the heat. I had a welder custom build...
CPF240,
Thanks for your suggestion. I think It may be something else. The GP controller card has been replaced. I will do some more testing and research.
My biggest concern is should I be worried about the wait light coming on while driving. I don't want to burn something up or cause...
A few months ago I had to replace my spin on fuel filter. I had to loosen all 8 injector lines and crank the engine until fuel came seeping out.
I have heard that an electric fuel lift pumps helps speed this up? My CUCV came with an electric lift pumps so I didn't have any major issues.
Good...
I have a wait light issue. The wait light will flicker and stay on briefly. I always thought it was some sort of loose connection or a short.
A few months ago when I pulled my dash to inspect and clean the cluster lights I thought I had it fixed. Then it started flickering again.
Here...
Nice!
I did the same on my M1009, but I used Tan Durabak. Did the Als Liner come with rubber granulates?
I got durabak with rubber granulates. Yes, a rough surface, but I don't mind.

Thanks everyone on your advice. I think you have confirmed my suspicions concerning my water leak. You also have pointed me in the right direction.
Odd that you mention taking off side kick panels. A few months ago I did remove the passenger side vent to paint and clean up. I didn't pay...
Hey,
In my part of the country we have been getting a ton of rain. I actually saw the sun for a few hours today in over a week.
Anyway I noticed that I have water leaking under my dash. It is right where the GP controller Card modules attaches.
I checked under the dash, but I couldn't...
Hello,
Today it has come to my attention that the part number I have been posting for the speedo cable may not be correct. Thank You baldyviewdesignlab.
In a previous post http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?99005-Replacement-Speedometer.
I have given you part number #25032661. I...
Interesting Post.
A month ago I had my tail end backed up a ramp while installing a hitch. I had plenty of fuel almost a full tank.
When we tried to start it wouldn't turn over. GP were cycling but she wouldn't start. It drove 10 miles with no issues. I could tell the batteries were...
I don't think I am not pushing the engine 80 MPH. Only the speedometer shows 80 MPH. The GPS shows 70 MPH. I trust the GPS as more accurate.
On the highway I keep the M1009 between 60 and 70 MPH.

Thanks,
I am new to this, learning as I go. I do understand what your saying.
I bought my CUCV from a previous owner about 9 months ago. The PO had put new tires on it. I honestly don't know what size tires the PO put on them. The tires are in great shape and serve my purpose for now. I...
A few months ago I had to replace my speedometer and Speedo cable. Speedometer from LMC and I found a speedo cable on Ebay that stated it fits a CUCV. The speedo cable fit perfectly and works. GM Part Number #25032661. I did notice the reading from the Speedometer vs GPS aren't exact.
What...
I had to replace my speedo cable recently. I found one on Ebay. The part Number is GM 25932661. It fits perfectly.
At first I ordered one from LMC that connects to a TH400 transmission on a 4WD Chevy. It was too short.
CPF240 thanks for your post. Like yourself and very new to diesels as...
