    Anyone curious about the M35A3?

I really like the CTIS and Super Single 14:00 R20's on it. But I hate the auto tranny, it is an abomination if you ask me... Trucks need to be manual gearboxes... I would like to put a new 6spd Fuller box on my M35A2... I think that would really help the truck out.

The Great Snow And Ice of Louisville.

I cannot wait until I full set of chains for the truck and see what sort of snow it can go through in Windham...

The Great Snow And Ice of Louisville.

If I had that much to play in I would have been out before the snow melted... I would have been blazing trails in the snow. Why because I love to play in the snow. Especially with big Diesel Toys!

    Deuce Security

You know I park on the street in Old Louisville and no one bothers my truck... I just get Crazy Stares from those that pass by. I lock it up a lot but I'm not too afraid of people touching it.

    block heater for a deuce?

Memphis equipment sells one for like 86 bucks...

The Great Snow And Ice of Louisville.

Well I was pleasantly surprised to drive my M35A2 in the Snow and Ice of Louisville without any problems. I didn't expect to get that much traction out of the standard NDT's but they seemed to really grip the snow and ice. Now we got maybe 6 inches of snow in two snowstorms in Louisville which...

    Are all Deuces Multifuel?

Actually the LDT-465-1 C or D engine can be either in multifuel configuration or reverted back to the natural diesel standard it was originally designed for. This depends on whether the Fuel Density Compensator has been by-passed or not. Just look on the tank, it says "Diesel Only" the engine...

    465, more rpm?

Well the LDS-465-1A according to the manual is rated for a no-load maximum RPM of 2900rpm. So maybe the engine will handle it. I would bet that an increase in wear due to extra viberation and potential over speeding would be your two biggest issues.

    10 Ton M123 and M15A1 Trailer

I've always wanted the M123A1C myself.

Drove deuce for the first time. A3/A2?

Hands down the A2... It's cheaper, it has more character , and it has a 5spd manual gearbox... The fact it doesn't have power steering isn't much of an issue, the truck turns rather well. I drive an A2 every where literally it is my daily driver! The only problem is the fact the truck has a 36ft...

How much do you drive your bigger MV

I drive mine about 20-30 miles every day. It is my daily driver!

Why the Deuce Doesn't Have These I'll Never Know!

I'd by a boat for that trip... No it has to be on the surface of solid planet.

Why the Deuce Doesn't Have These I'll Never Know!

Yeah I planned on putting bigger fuel tanks on the truck. Plus staging points.

Alas we must say goodbye to you Multifuel.

Well all the specs say the governed speed of the DT-466 series engines is 2600rpm. And blur-printing and balancing engine will improve the engine immeasurably in performance. Everything I want to do works but as you rightly pointed out costs cash, cash I don't have since my education is my...

Alas we must say goodbye to you Multifuel.

Well I think the mechanical is better for a couple or reasons: electrical systems being easier to adapt, less space required for the mounting of electronic hardware, simplicity. So my first choice is the DT466 210hp mechanical injected engines in the same year range you're talking about. I...

    Diesel heater vs. coolant heater

I would like any heat at all in my Truck... where can you purchase a Diesel Fired Heating unit for the truck? Does it come with the standard winterization kits or is for the Arctic kit only? How warm does get the truck under the hood as well? that would be another consideration for me. Let's...

Why the Deuce Doesn't Have These I'll Never Know!

They said the Land Rover Treks in Burma and South America were fool hardy. They said it was insane in 1979 when the Dakar Road Rally was first started that no one would want to do it. Look at all those examples they have paid off big time. The fact is that being bold is dangerous, yes, but this...

Putting a Deuce to work for me?

I put mine to work last night actually... I have a buddy that wanted to pick up some logs that the wind storm a few months ago in Louisville deposited around town. So around 11pm I was out in th middle of some neighborhood in 18degree temps putting 100lb+ logs into the deuce... While it nice to...

Why the Deuce Doesn't Have These I'll Never Know!

People say that all the time about people who make treks where others have dared to go. It can be done. The problem isn't that hard and I figured I wouldn't exactly be going alone. It is publicity stunt to build awareness for the viability of bio-desiel fuel. And I'm still planing on doing it...
