the chevrolet denali has the 4 wheel steer, but it is machanical. i have consided 4 wheel steering, but i think it will only be worth the effort if you are going to be rock crawling or extreme trail riding. the average joe needs both hands to steer and shift, so who will be running the rear...
nope. that is a 105a2 generator trailer w/ 14" in cut off the front and 11" cut off the back. narrowed the front and back of the bed 5 1/2 on all corners to be the same width as the cab. will be finishing up the edges w/1 1/2 in square tubing. getting the steel for the roll/light bar and...
the plate is for the drivers side. to mount it on the passenger side. take the measurements form the drivers side and flip them to the passenger side. drill the holes and bolt it down.
sounds simple and it is. i hope i am nt sounding condisending
i use a set of front springs and all associated hard ware for the rear axle. as for the drive shaft. the stock one is fine for the bob job, unless you want a longer wheel base. for a shorter wheel base, use a front drive shaft. the front is 42 " and the rear is 50". using a front will reduce...
The CTIS system always gave maintenance a big head ache. it was disabled for safety reasons, not so the NG couldn't use them. remove the cover, start the truck and listen. you will hear the system cycle from tire to tire checking the presure in each one. when it is done it will stop. i have...
i think you can use 11 in dayton rims for this. get deuce rims that have the centers riveted in, after you remove the rivets and the centers, clamp the rim down to a solid flat surface and drop in the center., and then spot weld. put it on the rear axle, and with the truck jacked up, put it...
i used a grinder. grind off the head, then grind an "X" on the rivet. Hammer, punch and visegrips works great on the side rivets. after you get the sides done, undo the bolts on the bottom, grind off the heads of the rivets in the frame, and a tanker bar between the frame and the trunion will...
did you try it in all the positions. i got my wheel and had to try it in several postions before it would go on the shaft. i looked at it and it appears to be a 5 ton wheel. it finally went on when the wheels were straight and the wheel spoke was pointing straight up.
i have an air assist on my truck. it works well when the air pressure is up, but if i had to pay $1800, i would look for a 5 ton power steering pump and a ford gear box to make i t work, that being said. if you can get it cheap, get it. if you don't like it, sell it and go a diffeent route.
