did you try it in all the positions. i got my wheel and had to try it in several postions before it would go on the shaft. i looked at it and it appears to be a 5 ton wheel. it finally went on when the wheels were straight and the wheel spoke was pointing straight up.

me too. you probably got a hummer steering wheel. the 5 ton steering wheel is 18 in' in diameter. the original wheel was 20 in in diameter.

just bought o rings for the a3 rims from gimplers out of wisconson. will let you all know how they work out.

i have an air assist on my truck. it works well when the air pressure is up, but if i had to pay $1800, i would look for a 5 ton power steering pump and a ford gear box to make i t work, that being said. if you can get it cheap, get it. if you don't like it, sell it and go a diffeent route.
