Any idea what the rear seat is out of yet? I was going to be going out to some of the local pick-n-pulls in the next few days. Trying to find a new split front bench or pair of buckets for the front, and a nice rear seat like devilman's would be icing on the cake.
Do both. A desert camo. Like the Toyota. Or you could do the standard CUCV camo pattern, and replace green with tan. Kinda like the K5. Neither are MV correct, so not a good option if you're a purist. But they look pretty cool.
^ Yeah... Those are pretty idiot proof and safe.
I would imagine a locker in the front of a short wheelbase truck like a 1009 would make turning on pavement absolutely dreadful, especially if you also installed a true locker in the rear. You'd be hopping and jerking all over the place. And...
They go by many names, depending on the maker of the differential and what make/model of vehicle they are found in. i.e. Eaton Locker. Detroit. Auburn Locker. No-spin. Trak-Lok. Truetrac. Gov-Lok (Found in M1009's, and is more of an automatic locker/limited-slip combo than an actual locker)...
I get a lot of looks from guys driving newer trucks. And a lot of not so nice looks from snooty people driving their Escalades, Lexus, and Mercedes. Teenagers stare. The local redneck population seems to like it. Vets give a lot of looks. I find it's a focal point in parking lots.

Well isn't that ****. :?
I doubt you can have any real idea as to the performance with a bum IP. And once you put the new one in, it's gonna feel like a new truck. :driver:
At first the thought of having a 24v/12v hybrid system is overwhelming and hard to wrap your head around. I ended up getting rid of my first M1008 because I wasn't familiar with it and kinda got scared off. But this time around with my M1009 I have a better understanding of it.
Familiarize...
Mine is bolted onto a piece of 14-16g sheet metal, as long as the license plate, bent into an angle, and bolted up to the underside of the pintle/bumper.
I'd like to get a Class III hitch...so I might put it on a hinge so I can flip it up when I use the hitch. Or I'll have to find another...
$105/$135 reg price? How did you manage that? Everytime I found prices for Interstate 6TL's it was something like $205 with a $250 list price.
I actually wanted Odyssey group 31 Batteries for my CUCV (I've heard nothing but great things about them), however I didn't have $700 to spend on two...
I third that.
I got 2 group 65's for like $85 each I think. 900cca, 36 month warranty/100 month prorated and the reserve capacity is real high too.
You can't beat their quality, or customer service/warranty especially for the price. I'd stay away from Wal-Mart (Neverstart) batteries. They have...
I'm not sure if there was a specific weak component on the controller card itself. I think just the card as a whole was a weak point in the system, especially after a few years of bouncing and wiggling around (the 24volt to 12volt resistor setup on the firewall being another weak spot).
My...
Check fuses...
Does the "WAIT" light come on?
With the key ON, the pink wire (the small terminal) on the GP relay gets 12v.
Pull the controller card, look at it for damage. And while you're under there, turn the key ON and connect the light blue wire to a ground, that should make the GP...
When I read the title of the thread I was initially going to say, "In the garbage."
But seeing as you just installed it, that's probably not the answer you're looking for.
