Silly me. Bought a 109A4 even though the description noted "no reverse".
I was happily prepping the truck when the thought hit me: If this pig doesn't have reverse, what else doesn't it have?
Well, the answer I feard was "fourth". I can tell you with great authority that it takes 9 hours...
Ma is too modest. Full-up plates for a deuce fully laden costs me $577 as I recall. Only if it's plated for 16,000 lbs is it the lower figure he cites.
And it's important to remember that the vehicle needn't be 25 years old, as with the previous antique plates. In other words a 35A3 is the...
Am in Moscow for a few days and want to take a look around at what these folks play with or have available.
Went to a shop today and found a nice T-55 and Su-17 in the parking lot.
Phone numbes would be nice if you have them.
Thanks.
Made it to Huntsville to pick up my 931 Semi during the MVPA convention (a good time).
The pickup initiall failed because the tranfer case is shattered. Most likely due to operator shifting to reverse in low gear.
Two warnings; this is a common error with the 939 series. Ya just can't back...
Gimpy, I sure wonder why you don't start more knife fights than you do. Funny.
Thanks for the info everybody. Wreckerman has some good ideas I'll be working this week with Teresa at Huntsville. This all gives me another good reason to go to the MVPA convention at the end of the month.
Got...
After a successful wrecker recovery at Redstone friend Gary tried to pick up my M931.
"Well this recovery did not go so well. The truck looked great. I checked the fuel and the drivers side tank was full and the gage was working. it cranked right up and the lights worked. All pressures were...
I guess I need a 936 Wrecker, and there's a slug of them at Shelby. Question is why? Are they accumulated junkers awaiting rebuild, good trucks waiting rebuild, or a mix?
Am trying to reduce risk in a photo-based bid, of course.
Adn while I'm at it, anybody know a good transporter who can...
I got a small freeze plug for now. I like Sierra's idea of putting clear hose and a couple clamps to leave the coolant visible. for now though, it's the plug I seek. Will go to Lowe's and try to find the proper thread.
Thanks much.

I have a leaky sight glass on a 35A3 surge tank. I need to locate one but in the meantime want to just plug it but am having a hard time finding a plug with matching threads.
Does anybody know what threads go on that glass?
And BTW, who has new ones?
Thanks much.
Insteead of moving the current filler cap, would it not be easier to install a second cap to the (new) front edge of the added tank? Then ignore the older cap.
And while switching tanks with the flip of a switch and/or valve is a neat idea a simpler plan would be just to transfer fuel to the...
We've established Sparta HQ at Sparta Steakhouse, on the main E-W street N of I-90. Rick and Emily treated us well, with plenty of sudsy stuff in stock to accompany the steaks. By coincidence, when we decided to detach the 109A4 the next day we were straight down the street from them, and the...
Hi. Toidd's pics are of my motor pool.
My wife thinks it's too full too. It's not a business but I've got to clear out some room. Will be parting out 4 or 5 trucks and selling a few.
Wife is very patient with my addiction. It was her idea to get the Motor Pool. "You need a place for...
Here's a change to a post on the 5 ton forum... here because of increase liklihood of answer from a multifuel expert.

Hi Jwaller.
Thanks for the quote. Pricing is what I expected but I'd better shave my nickels and drive it.
I think picking it up and storing it is a great plan. I'm coming down for the
GA rally again, and figuring on driving it from SC to there then home. It'll give me time to get my DL...
****, I can't believe I misspelled lonesome.
Well, it works when spoken. Reminds me of my favorite political retort.
As the story goes a legislator from Kentucky stood to insult another and said "He's so dumb he thinks bird is spelled b-u-r-d." The other guy stood and replied "If b-u-r-d...
