    M1009 Tailgate weatherstripping

Well, I went down to the local dealer today - their prices are about double what GMPartsDirect charges. Interestingly enough, they didn't have anything for part number 358593 either.

    M1009 Tailgate weatherstripping

Michael, Those part numbers were exactly what I was looking for - I'm going to take a list down to the (st|d)ealer on Monday and see what they want to charge me. I might be able to fix their computers again and get some free parts in trade :D

    M1009 Tailgate weatherstripping

Thanks all! I'd forgotten about the strip at the top of the window - looks like I'll need that too.

    M1009 Tailgate weatherstripping

Well, it's looking to be an active monsoon season out here in NM, and I can't park in the carport all the time, so.... Anyone know where I can pick up weatherstripping for the M1009? I need the piece that seals the tailgate around the bed and sides, and the piece that seals around the glass at...

Just did a simple receiver hitch on my M1009.

Very nice, I'll have to consider one for my own M1009

    Holy Crap.....I got one!!!!!!!

RE: Here Nice! I'm crossing my fingers and saving up pennies so that when one comes along with the turbo multifuel, I can pounce on it. Now, convincing the girlfriend to let me....

    Got my STE/ICE from Ziggy0!!

Got into BWI last night, I'll be here ten days or so. And yeah, I left the kit at home... shoulda dragged that to the airport and brought it along, but security being what it is I didn't want to confuse some poor screener with it.

    Got my STE/ICE from Ziggy0!!

FedEx found my house, a small miracle in itself. The kit came pretty much as seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyberspacecowboy_2001/557035825/ The top tray had all the necessary fittings, etc: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cyberspacecowboy_2001/556831134/ Very nice looking unit...

    STE/ICE kits are finally here

Well, I know they at least test the alternator outputs and can show engine RPMs :) I'll post photos here when I get mine... might have to wait until I get back from my vacation.

    STE/ICE kits are finally here

Hooks up to the diagnostic connector, or you clip leads to various locations in the engine, depending on the test.

Ziggy, Have they shipped out yet? Or has FedEx failed to find my house yet again?

*(PAINT DONE PICS)*Looks like I am gonna be a proud CUCV OWN

Nice find, welcome to the club! Looks like it's got military-style 6TL batteries. I recall those are NOT maintainance-free, so you may want to grab a tester at an auto parts store and check them out before driving off. Conventional wisdom applies - check the fluids, carry spare filters, etc...

    Your truck gotta name??

My M1009 is known as "Teh Beast". The misspelling is intentional, most of my friends are computer nerds. I was the guy who wished for a Shop class instead of Typing.

    license plate location

Mine's centered at the moment (pintle's missing), but when I put the new pintle on, I'm going for left of center. In my home state, there's an exemption from the lighted plate requirements for 'classic' cars that's worded such that I don't need one if it wasn't originally equipped with one...

Price of Gas in your area

Regular unleaded is $3.09 here, with highway diesel at $3.11 Funny thing is, down the road a few hours, unleaded is the same price, and diesel is only $2.75

Organizational Repair Shop Truck on GL in Hawaii

Well, it went for $6,850 - bit much for me. You'd have to figure on spending at least that getting it back to the mainland.... I figure someone is interested in the auction photos, so I've mirrored them here: http://www.sdc.org/~hswan/images/M811/
