VA does have trip permits available from the dmv website, but I would imagine if you are are a PA resident and hold a PA drivers licence you would deal with the PA DMV to get a temporary registration/permit. Instructions on how exactly to proceed could probably be found on their website.
Yes the antique plate works out pretty well for me, the main stipulation is that the vehicle cannot be used as a daily mode of transportation. I always try to get at least one "check drive" in during the week and a "Pleasure" drive on the weekends. The main advantage is the lack of a mandated...
It's a mix around around town, but MV's aren't all that uncommon in the area. People start to get interested more when it's stopped and they notice the antique plate. Likewise people seem to really like driving alongside on the interstate, and taking videos with their camera phones :cookoo...
I just got mine in the mail today. Yes the 12V+ goes to the same battery as the one you hook the negative cable on. I'm going to break mine out later and play with it, but it seems you would not want to put a substantial constant load on the 12V circuits. Unless there is an equalizer built in...

Thanks again guys
Wow that was fast DH it took me about an hour to find that page earlier. Now I need to buy a 105 to find the...
I'm looking for the tongue length of a M105 a1 or a2. Apparently it wasn't considered a critical dimension in the TM. So if someone has a 105 and tape measure I would appreciate if I could get the measurement from the tip of the lunette ring to the front of the box. Thanks.
My first guess was that the converter outputs being connected together on the positive side let the smoke out. You would need to have a diode on the outputs so they can't backfeed into each other. The isolated 12v neg bus bar is asking for trouble as well. I'm not well read on the...
I keep a -10 and -20 hard copy in the truck when going on trips, along with every other TM regarding M44a2 series trucks on my laptop. Whenever I see a downloadable TM I save it and make a backup copy on an external hard drive, but then again I like to read a lot. If you ever have a problem...
