I'm worried about my Deuce freezing tonight

Well, she survived the night. The antifreeze I had drained out did not freeze so very doubtful the engine would. Anyone got a pic of the proper place to tie in the heater hoses ? I got a circulating engine heater I may install this weekend.

    Changing D to a C TURBO

If your brake fluid is low, make sure you determine what brake fluid you have. It "should" be silicone Dot 5 but sometimes people change it to cheaper Dot 3 or worse don't realize it's dot 5 and add dot 3.

Deuce won't build air pressure when cold...

As far as the air pressure problem, being the former owner of a trucking company my best fix for freeze ups when possible was put a space heater pointing under the truck for a little while. Usually will defrost any frozen air lines etc without damage.

We got the same here, mine started right up but stalled a few times but my advice to you is watch your oil filters. My canister seals started puking oil.

I'm worried about my Deuce freezing tonight

I forgot I had this thing. It is a magnet heater. 250w. I bought it to use on my skidsteer as it has a Deutz but it did not help alot but it may be enough to give me some added protection tonight. I have a comfortor over the top of the motor as well as a blanket on the rad.

I'm worried about my Deuce freezing tonight

So if I tested good to -10f I might be ok if the new antifreeze didn't mix ? I was gonna go out and check the antifreeze I took out in a few hours and see if it is freezing.

I'm worried about my Deuce freezing tonight

Also when I started it, oil came pouring out of the filter housing seals. It seemed to stop but a spin on kit is now next on the list if I still have a block left tomorrow. The other thing I noticed is my cab heater seems to be piped in on both sides of the thermostat so maybe it was flowing...

I'm worried about my Deuce freezing tonight

It's supposed to hit -10f with up to -30f windchill. I put new antifreeze in it when I swapped in the motor this past summer and figured I was good to go but in checking all my vehicles tonight the Deuce failed. I only had 3 balls floating which was -10f. I opened up the radiator drain and took...

    Electric fan for Deuce

Thanks. I'm not a big fan of flex fans. I had one come apart on me years ago and go right through my hood.

    Electric fan for Deuce

Did anyone successfully do this ? I would love to ditch my fan. The engine never gets hot in the winter and I have zero heat.
