What did you do to your deuce this week?

Today I pulled the fuel pump and tank, boy was she nasty! The tank is clean on the inside (mostly) but the pump was dead and chuncky rust covered. Well I found two working Parker 24v replacement pumps at a friend's house and wouldn't you know it as soon as I found out I had spares the original...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

It feels good, but I couldn't have done it alone. My friend Rick helped me out with his endless patience....... Which promptly expired when we put the grille back on lol. It's nice to have a retired Army maint warrant officer working with you.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I decided that I wanted to put new hoses on the Deuce because the two going to the water manifold were cracked badly. Well my heart stopped, did I crack the block? Did I blow the head gasket? Nope, I tested it and it was all coolant, oil was pure in the block so I guess this is what...

    M35A2 in-tank fuel pump gasket

Well I've decided to drop the tank and pull the fuel pump because she stopped pumping (fuse and leads are good and power is flowing). So I'm going to clean the tank and replace gaskets on the pump and sender... There is the problem, I can't find for the life of me a gasket for it, so I'll make...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I read on another thread how to do this and it is genius! So my steering box was leaking a bit, about a class 2 leak. So I found a thread on here talking about using corn head grease to fix it. Well I took off the drain plug and fill plug of the steering box and drained the oil out. Next I put...

My M35A2 BUILD (I know there has to be thousands of these by now)

I thought I was they only one doing that, I have a folder on my desktop of all the build ideas I ran across on here. I'm getting there on some of them but maintenance and safety upgrades are coming first. As the time for my next PCS approaches I am gearing up to drive from TX to GA, thus the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Well I went to see my returned warrant officer friend ( he was a mech warrant) to help him with his M1009, and got a ear full for my battery box. Well we rigged something up to hold it in place until I get a new box or hardware to this one. Got me some LED headlights as well. Now for the...
