You don't give us civilians enough credit...I think just about everybody has heard of SOS. Whether we've eaten the civilian version or the "authentic" militarized version...that's a different question.
Phil, that is awesome!!!!!!!! I'm glad you had a safe trip and I can't wait to buy you a beer at the rally in about 2 weeks.
Looks like those tent bags are pretty much new. Just like the last one I bought . The light cases appear to have some wear on them, but I didn't spend the money...
It's not a grounding switch. If you ground the switch legs you'll pop the control breaker.
From what the OP is saying, the generator stays running, but looses the voltage output. If this is the case, I suspect the voltage regulator as possibly going bad. If you have another one from either...
That was next on the list of things to do....I'm not going to have a repeat of the recovery trip!!!!!!
You would think so wouldn't you. You would swear I got them from his pink VW Beetle.
I'm dragging my ENG-3 converted generator trailer along so we have some kind of power for the rally. Anybody who wants to tap in, just bring some cords.
I talked to Gimp a few days ago and we're still working out something for the trailers...At least he is I should say. I think he was trying...
Owning an MV is NOT a prerequisite for attendance!! Come on over to the rally and have a good time. There should be plenty of tent space, just bring a bag and someone will let ya camp out with them. Gimpy, myself and probably 73m819 will be hooking both of my command post tents together so...
Gimp is right, they are set at about 7 GMP since they are a power steering pump. But IIRC since I don't have the factory info in front of me, the displacement and RPMs will actually put out about 16 GPM if you bypass the valving in the back of the pump.
I have the factory specs at home, but...
Small world...I have an uncle who lives in Ephrata.
Also went to trade school with several unemployed coal miners from Barnsboro...It used to be a really nice quaint little town.
Welcome aboard and if there is anything I can do to help out, let me know.
I'll need a pair of door hinges. My bottom drivers hinge broke today. My cab is a bit buckled (thanks to the previous owner...Uncle) and causing some binding on the hinge. I think I need to do some fancy shimming to get the bind out of it as much as I can.
Download the TM's from the resources section. They tell you everything you'll ever want to know about that engine and how to overhaul it. The detailed engine information you'll be interested in is in the -34 manual. The 3 manuals you'll want to download are
TM 5-6115-584-12 (unit level...
I thought the M36 had a 14 foot bed?? You're probably right though. All I know is, it's WAY too long for an M35
I'm not doing the cutting, I marked it at the rear bow and said...This seam needs to be here!! Meaning the rear seam for the rear flap.
In my preparation for the 2010 GA Rally I wanted to do a few modifications to the deuce to make the 14 +/- hour drive a little more bearable. I decided to snap a few pics of what I have done so far and what is still on-going.
First off, I went to the local Pull-A-Part yard and snagged a couple...
Honestly, any brand of diesel 15w-40 oil you want to use is just fine for those engines.
And always remember, I have the spin-on oil filter adapter kits available for sale!!!!
Mike,
Here is some pics of one of them, this may not be the exact one I'm bringing to the rally, but before I bring one I'll test it for operational readiness. Like I said, I have one for the MEP-002a and one for the MEP-003a.
