He is the one picking up my tent...thanks for the tip though. I am also working on getting it to the rally. If you find someone, or if I do, maybe we can get them to work for both of us?????
Below is a picture of the one that was set up at the GA rally last year. I already have one exactly like it, so this is a second one. And the pics from the auction, and the auction I won last year of it set up. I almost forgot, this one also comes with a tattered old light kit...LOL
Well...
That's why it has different coils per phase. One of them is the voltage signal, one of them is the amperage signal and one is the VR feedback. If it's only the metering devices that are not working, that's not a big deal. The one important one is the VR feedback.
Well, 1/2 of the situation is under control :jumpin:.
A huge thank you to TheOxman for offering to pick it up and hang on to it for a bit. Now I have to get it transfered to any member who is going to be coming to the GA rally. It doesn't matter to me if it goes through half of the...
CT/CVT...Current Transducer/Current Voltage Transducer (or something very similar to that). It is an assembly of transformer coils in the output box located on the side of the set. It is where the metering and voltage regulator feedback signals come from. It consists of at least 3 different...
it could either be the gauge or the CT/CVT assembly. If it's the gauge, it's an easy and fairly cheap replacement. Delk's Army/Navy surplus should have them and pretty reasonably priced. If it's the CT/CVT assembly, that one will cost you quite a bit more. You might be better off putting a...
Thank you sir for the offer, I will call shortly.
The GA rally is at the end of October in Union Point, GA at the Durhamtown Plantation. Here is a link to the 2010 SSGA Rally Info Thread.
Gimpyrobb will probably be attending from Cincy, and I'm coming from the other side of the state of OH by Wheeling WV.
I'm hoping to get in touch with someone from the Eglin area as well, I have a tent I need picked up!!!
Bringing this back up to the top. I got the winning bid notification this morning, so the PIF invoice isn't too far behind. I really would apreciate any and all assistance getting this thing off the base. Since it's a NON EUC item, time is gonna get real short real quick. Thanks again.
Guys, it seems that I was the high bidder just a little bit ago of a command post tent at Eglin AFB. I really need help getting this thing off base and to any member who might be going to the GA rally this October. ANY and ALL help would be very greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Ike,
You can combine the power of the two generators and do it fairly easily at that, think about it, the utilities do it all the time. BUT (and this is a very big but) frequency regulation is VERY VERY important!!!!!!
When you parallel two generators, you must make sure they are in "phase"...
Rat4spd and cranetruck are absolutely correct. I have over 15 years of experience in the electrical field, mostly industrial controls (PLC's, motor controls, high voltage distribution and such), some commercial and residential experience as well. One thing I can tell you for sure, is I have...
I've been watchin it from the beginning. The first couple of posts answered the OP's question pretty well. Now I'm just enjoying the show over what an average size house requires for power consumption.
Well, it looks like I have acquired enough free fuel to make the trip this year. I've had the time off of work for a long time now. I was just waiting to see if I could get the fuel. If I had to buy fuel, I couldn't afford the trip this year, but with free used oil I'm good to go.
I'm planning...
crack each line at the injectors and make sure you are getting fuel to each injector. The pump or lines may just be "vapor locked" somewhere along the way
I hope you guys have a good trip. Mike is a fine gentleman to deal with and makes the whole GL experience worth it. I wish I were close enough to make the trip for his parade.
We better get some pics to follow (both the parade and nudie bars)...LOL
