They are always going to "leak" it is a zipper and not possible to totally seal up. If you want to eliminate leaks go with the 1 piece style boot (no zipper), more work to put on but they work great. The zipper ones are not too bad to replace, I suggest having an extra set of hands to help...
Excellent topic, another related question is the fuel, I know diesel is mixed in the cold months (cold whether states only of course) but I have too many deuces to fill up with mixed fuel. I'm sure I can add an additive but would gas do the same thing, would it keep diesel from gelling?
Found this near my house, looked to be in pretty good shape, just seems small compared to my Deuces :)

First of all, do what you can to keep both, you'll probably regret it down the road if you get rid of one.
Second...you have a 13 month old AND a 2 month old??!! Man you don't waste any time!
I actually have a 55 gallon drum I was looking to get rid of, I found a guy that will pay $20 for it and bring me another empty barrel. He was using it in his oil burner to heat his shop this winter. If I was smart I'd get me one of them!
Very close to 13'6" :D
I went through the same hassle here in MN with a class A. I got busted for driving the same setup as pictured above. I told the cop that it was for personal use but it didn't matter, because I was over 26,000 CGVW (9200 + 21,000)I needed a class A as well as DOT...
I haul mine with a single rear wheel 3/4 ton and a gooseneck and it works just fine. I have brakes on all 3 axles on the trailer that is rated at 21,000.
Great story on the trip, ya you got some big ones to do that trip! I'm sure glad I trailer mine. Nice looking 109 too, but I agree, that's kind of against the law to be running a heater in such nice weather :D I don't let the wife turn the furnace on in the house until November
I just got a call from GL about an SF-97 request I faxed in this morning. She said they can no longer accept faxed requests. I asked her when that started and she said beginning of September, I checked my last fax and I told her I did 2 on 9/8/08 by fax and they went through fine. After some...
Are there really that many deuces left to go through GL? I've heard a lot about some bases starting to dwindle down and dry up, or are these coming back from overseas?
