Re: Aaron
So you think maybe my EUC doesn't really need revisions and that's just his way of processing them? I hope that's it.
As far as stopping bidding on GL because of poor practices I just can't, I would love nothing more than to say "I'm done" and stick to that but I am so addicted I...
Well I just checked my EUC status and sure enough...revisions are needed and no e-mail, I even checked my spam folder. I filled it out exactly the same as I have for the past 5 EUCs and now suddenly something changed?
I have some that as soon as my finger makes contact with the button they fire up and I also have a couple that crank over for a bit and sometimes die after the initial startup.
Anyone know what the thickness is on a new Deuce shoe? I have been throwing all my brake parts in the scrap when I strip down axles but maybe there could be a market for them if they had a certain amount of thickness left on them???
Just to throw it out there here's what I pull my Deuces with, 3/4 ton single wheel and triple axle goose. I've driven across scales before and never got flagged.
I just swapped a winch this past weekend, the winch truck uses a regular bumper flipped upside down and it does sit higher than a stock one. The stock bumper slides directly over the frame, the winch bumper with extensions sits out and higher.
5 tons are going to add a lot more weight, if you are worried about breaking shafts just call Randy at OEM and get some of his aftermarket stock replacements. If you think you are going to break those (which I doubt you will) you can always jump up to the 2" shafts :) . I run those with 57"...
I had big plans for one of mine but the more I think about it the more I realize I may never get to it! I put my two up for sale, they are in the classifieds if anyone is interested.
Kind of off on a tangent but still on topic, I have a deuce that has a working buzzer but every time I put the parking brake on it goes off :? . I can see a lever that pops up next to the seat when the brake is on and when you push the parking brake lever down it shuts off. Anyone ever seen...
