Well after galvanizing 23 wheels I'm getting ready to galvanize 10 more. This time though I'm welding the seams shut. It seems that the last batch of 10 had crud in the seams and even after sand-blasting they still had crud that exploded in the galvanizing tank. Made the galvanizers pretty...
Does anyone know what happened to the stored items ? I'm talking about when you post pictures and documents, they all get stored in a special section that you can draw from to add to your other posts later on. I don't know how to get there now.
The "plunger sleeve" sticking would not cause a fuel starvation. It would act more like a sticking throttle lever on a carb. Sometimes it would work, then other times it would stick causing high RPM's.
Even with your foot of the "go" pedal. Basically what your experiencing.
If anyone has tried to find replacements for their clutch shaft expansion plugs you know how hard it is to find them cheap. They are half the thickness of a standard 1.5" expansion plug which makes it even more difficult to find let alone cheap. So I bit the bullet and bought some from "Teds...
There's an old fart (well at least he's older then me !) that lives in McKenna, WA. He installed 395's on his Deuce rims years ago now and has had no problems with them yet. He drives all over with this set-up too. I plan on buying some "Stryker" tires later this new year and install them on...
OK, there is another valve on the side of the Hydraulic Head. This is the "Over-Flow Valve" assembly. Take it apart and clean it real good. If you still have a no start, then you need to go back and recheck all your pressures from the fuel tank to the injection pump. Somewhere there is a low...
Did you ever adjust the High Idle screw ? That and the governor assembly could be sticking. Also the "plunger sleeve" could be sticking on the "plunger" . To check the plunger sleeve, just remove the fuel control rod and plate (two screws) . Then shoot some good LDS 2 Spray up into the sleeve...
To much "governor" pressure. Your using "modulator" pressure to counter-act the high "governor" pressure when you hold the pedal to the floor.
The governor weights could be sticking. Take it apart and clean it real good.
It seems they have gotten quite a few engineers from major tool companies to redesign their tool line.
Their "Air Guns" are now designed by a Ingersol Rand engineer, and their Welders are designed by a Lincoln Electric engineer. Who knows where they got the hand tool engineer from. Maybe...
Yes there will be an improvement since your not regulating the fuel anymore. Now you need to check your Pyrometer to make sure you don't burn holes in your pistons.
