My transfer case will be already driving a power divider for my yet to be installed rear winch, but that is a thought that I had not thought of. a pto off the power divider, or a splitter.

    Help with snatch block calculations

What I meant was WHAT EVER the total weight of the load that needs to be moved, WILL fall on the snatch block and the attachment to the load, this weight (load) can add up QUICK, so the load needs to be figured out, rolling resentences in dirt, load weight, dragging brakes, ramps, ect.. Once...

It would have SAVED a lot of time by stating that your looking for the torque for the engine and NOT for the parts for a fix, ALSO TQ means what, guessing you are trying to mean torque, then how are we to know torque of what, gave you the answer for finding the torque requirements for the...

    Florida auction

With all these non highway HMMWVs showing up, I see the states when faced with the argument "why are these not legal when the ones that are out there already are legal when they are the SAME vehicle" up to this point in time there is relatively FEW legal HMMWVs out there, with the MAJOR dump...

    Help with snatch block calculations

The block attached to the truck being pulled needs to be handle the rolling resistance of the truck in the dirt, the up hill pull of the ramps, dragging brakes, ect., in another words DO NOT SKIMP on the snatch block, the load on the snatch block adds up quick, on a single snatch block, two part...

    question on 5 tons please

I have more of a issue of side mounted pto, the front drive shaft could be a work around, BUT with my new rears, if I am someplace that I need front wheel drive, the 36,000lb m819 is someplace where it should not be in the first place. The idea of a power divider as a aux. drive power source is...

    5 ton lockout hubs

Just want to remind everyone, that these hubs will ONLY work as intended on 939 trucks because of the front drive air shift disconnect, if you use the hubs on a sprag transfer, the transfer WILL think that the rears ARE spinning (over running the front wheels)and engage the front drive, driving...

    question on 5 tons please

If could have used a fuller, It would have been in the m819 YEARS ago, on the drivers side, there is just inches from the spicer and the front drive shaft, now that I am not running a front drive shaft, and will be replacing the rears with another set of rears with a different ratio, it looks...
  16. 73m819

    question on 5 tons please

The fuller is to wide, the front drive shaft will not clear, the pto is on the bottom, which makes shafting to the front winch a bit hard, though you could go hyd. drive it. The bad thing about a bottom mount pto is that it tends to get hit when off road.

    PT Pump Swap Question

it is not that hard to take one apart, the big thing is NO crap gets in to while it is open, the ip is soft metal, so watch for NOT gouging, scratches.. I took mine apart on the work bench, started out resealing the input, ended up doing the button, springs, ect ,. YOU CAN do it you self, just...

    Armored cab lights

When I mounted one in the 819, I broke the locking tab off, this way I can just reach up/behind me and flip the switch lever and NOT have to have my hand just right to press the lock button, I figure I am not running nor plan to run blackout conditions.

First purchase of an MV, M931A2, questions to ask, things to check/ first inspection.

I am sorry, but I would STILL pass on this truck, It is the DETAILS that make a truck a NICE looking truck, No bumperetts. No fenders, Where the lights are placed What looks like the 105 frame from the rear (the frame is not needed to clearance the tires, 1600s will clear just fine), this was...

First purchase of an MV, M931A2, questions to ask, things to check/ first inspection.

You DO NOT want to buy a truck from someone who knows NOTHING about the truck, There is a MAJOR reason why the truck has not sold. NO spare, or at least not shown, if the owner wants to sell the truck, show the spare, Just from reading the ad, I would stay away Why are the RED fuel cans Why no...
