I ordered mine from a little local truck shop, I will have to see if I can find the invoice. The problem is that you have to find a OLD TIME PARTS GUY to order something like the buttons, ALL the parts guys now days want a p/n, the motor id, ip id, and build group in order to order anything, It...
The way it was explained to me was that more pressure did not equate to more fuel at the injector, what is needed is more fuel (volume) at the injectors, hence the button drop, after a certain point more pressure is needed to push the extra fuel but this is why above what the 250 can handle.

Yesterday I looked at the straps on the 819, I have 7 can holders on the truck, one has the old style spring clip, there was THREE different kinds of the snap-over latch on the other six, and none of these looked like the ones in the picture that G. posted.
First THANK YOU for bringing this thread back up, I had forgotten all about it, It is one of my SITE peeves that members start a thread like this and NEVER share the results and here I am doing it, SORRY, will try not to let it happen again.

I use two 8Ds in my 819, they are NEW blems, in 05 they cost $60 each, in 010 one started to give me a problem so I replaced the set, this time it was $80 each, still a price that I can not bitch about, I figure if a pair of 8Ds can start a big cat engine, they should not have a problem with my...
I have worked out how to do this to the 819, everything from the axles to the cab, being that the cab sits higher, I planed to use all the 819 frame brackets (clutch), all the hyd. brake parts would be stripped, the complete air system would be installed except the emg. brake lever, the spring...
Do not think a engine or exhaust brake will work on a 939 series because of automatic and the UN-locking t/c, what would be NEEDED is a RETARDER for the transmission like the 915s ect, have.
I would not be to worried about the band brake because the spring brakes SET when the handle is pulled up, if I had a 939 series, I would do away with the e brake lever all together and put a standard control valve in the dash, if the 939 series was a tractor, I would install the trailer control...
Anything over a 30 deg. spread between the chain legs is considered unsafe due to extremely high load that is put on each leg, the FLATTER the spread IS, the GREATER the load on each leg
Looking at the chains, they look like 1/2" wrecker chain doubled, doubt they are going to break and the...
..I would ALSO run a NEW heavy ground from the battery to the frame, from what you describe, this is your problem, running a new ground cable may be easier then getting to the old one.
