I fix things all the time for myself and others. Everything don't require special made to order parts. Loose wing window latches can be easily fixed with off the shelf hardware store parts and the end repair is not even noticeable. Many times on older trucks I get a concern on whistling wing...
Yes they will every time. Especially with 4:56 gears and redlining at 65MPH. Been there done that and at 85MPH it seems to quiet down a bit. Good Luck.
Flow masters work. I put new mufflers on my current build 10 years ago. They are a bit dirty but good as new. I also put stainless steel exhaust on an M1009. It never rusted. I sold it 2 years ago.

I guess they can be both ways. I doubt they kept CUCV vent windows to 1984 specifications. A few things changed over the years and the vent seals was one of them.
I believe 1 piece GM vent window seal. I have a few GM ones brand new. I never wanted to drill the rivet out and use one of them. I jet cleaned the rubbers up really well and oiled the hinges and reused them. As long as they are NOT painted. Painted ones I salvaged parts from. Good Luck.

Straight from the Walker Exhaust catalog. Hope that helps.
I have an M1009 tub sitting here in rough shape. Surprised the floors are still decent not all but most parts. I want to scrap the entire tub in a few months. Not sure it is worth your time but they can be yours.
You don't need to disassemble the dash. You reach up and unclip it and pull the inner cable out of the hosing. Grease it as you reinstall it. I've done it before. Not impossible. Be Safe and take your time. I do hope you have the routing correct and the OEM style cable.
Yes the inner cable. But make sure it is attached to the proper attaching points about under the floor of the accelerator pedal, over near transfer case on right side and up at the brake booster. Proper securement is required for optimal smoothness. Good Luck and Good Night.
Yes pull the inner cable from the top side grease it and put it back in. They make cable grease in a small tube to do this. The aerosol can stuff will work for the first 2 ft of the cable. But I find binding cables on speedometers a common issue. I really like pulse speedometers with electronic...
The replacement panels are not going to be a direct fit. The bends and impressions differ from the original design. At best you must cut and fit the floor. May I recommend removing or at least raising the body from the frame. Removal would be better to access both sides.
Pull the inner cable out from topside and thoroughly grease the cable. Also make sure it is routed properly with no binding. Is it a GM cable or an after market. I prefer used over an aftermarket. It seems to fit and work better and smoother. But grease and routing are key. Good Luck. Secure it...
I have an appointment for March 21, 2020 to get a windshield installed in my M1009 build. I guess I will have to reassemble the doors. Which is still a move in the right direction. I am actually seeing some real progress with this early pre Spring weather. I don't want to rush. The interior will...
May I add that the trailer cargo bed is just setting on the frame right after removal from the trailer frame. I done a subframe on the cargo bed and leveled it out. I used the same frame holes as the stock pickup bed to mount the cargo bed to the CUCV frame. Easily removable if needed. No welds...
Thank you. McGuyver that is what I thought. It also looks like the least expensive way. Thank you. I am going to remove the stock axle and possibly scrap it. I was able to use every part of that scrapped trailer.
I suppose you could paint it with anything. I never worried about paint. I panted this M1009 on a Sunday afternoon and mudded it down the next Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Yankee Lake Ohio July 2017 Trucks going wild. It all came out in the wash. Good Luck.
I am not sure I am at the right place but I will ask my 2 easy questions anyway. I have an M101 trailer that had the 5 lug wheels on it. I am assuming Dodge M37 wheels. During the scrapping process I assume someone did not know that the left hand studs were reverse thread so they torched the...
I have 2 complete sets of these dually adapters that I removed from spreader trucks. https://arrowcraftproducts.com/dually-adapters-8-lug/
I have 2 sets of 4 enough to do 2 trucks 8 lug CUCV.
