They are not designed as a stand alone fastener, the outer nut gives the thimble the solidness needed to grip the stud, without the outer nut, the only strength the thimble has is the centering ring at the end of the thimble.

On a WRECKER the walking beam that is on top of the springs needs to be removed to replace the TOP two, the four lowers can be removed with axle on a block because the tires need to be pulled, also removing the axle torque rod brackets make life a LOT easier.

I believe the Canadian deuce had a 6v53 DD for a motor, if this is the case and the v6 is moved forward, there would be enough room for a automatic trans.
I am trying this again with a new route, need two T831S moved from Glens (Salin, Ka.) to Oklahoma City or Carthrage, Mo. before 25 April, If I can get them there, the GREAT CARNAC will be able to get them to me.

It INDEXS the slip joint so the U-joints on a drive shaft are timed right. not needed (why not found all the time) but sorta makes the timing "about" idiot proof
Be carefull about driving and "forcing" into low, my 819 would not go into low, after I replaced the transfer, I FORCED it into low, locked things, had to use a bar to get it out of low, if it had been in the truck would have locked the truck up and not going anyware.
Might be better for your teeth to relize not EVERYBODY are not as PERFECT as your are, you need to be carefull that a RELIGON is not named after you (everybodys knows what happens next)
