I set them on a 4'x6' x 1'' thick rubber horse stall mat. the floor anchors work fine (for legalities) as it real doesn't go anywhere. Those totes will work good too as soon as the water freezes inside. I suppose if you didn't want to use the mats, you could frame it in the bed with a half dozen...
I guess you have to experience Northern Idaho to see what actually works. 8 years ago when I first moved up here, my doors froze. Then someone told me to use spray silicon on the door gaskets, now they always open. There is a line every winter at the Bonners Ferry car wash that sprays the...
1 inch plywood is common here, but not in the big box stores, and it only weighs 60-80lbs. The trick is to brush on the used motor oil and get the edges a couple of coats, so the rain and snow cant penetrate it and make it real heavy.
@ fpchief....Im originally from Stockton Ca. 100F+ temps often during the summer. It only takes a couple of winters to acclimate. Plus, with all those new fangled expensive gortex+ clothing out there, remember, its all junk. Wool is still King of the cold. Also cold winters acts like our own...
No...not any different than driving through snow slush. the spray is warm too. Ive been using it for years and is real popular up here because of salt.
Wow..Culdesac Idaho..Nice area. When I was looking for relocating from Commiefornia in 2006 , I remember blasting through there past the car on the post in Winchester. I was on my 2004 Boxer Cup Replica MC. I rarely kept it under 90mph through there and from Mcdermott NV to Jordan Vally OR, I...
Im 3 1/2 hours by car, 5 by deuce from you. about 10 miles from Troy MT. There is a guy right by you that has a deuce for sale on CL. I almost bought it, but he wanted more for his, then dropped the price lower than I bought mine for later. its still for sale.
Thats what I was thinking, but it would be outside and made of 6 in steel pipe casing, because I don't have a "inside". In fact, I don't have a slab either, so when it rains, I use a 1 inch thick sheet of plywood treated with used diesel engine oil (really) and when it snows, I use cardboard...
@ Ahab.....the concrete plant that sells them does it. getting them out is going to be a issue. My neighbor ( 1/2 mile away) can do it with his tractor. My tractor cant lift them.
I took the cargo cover and bows off mine, then I have two 2k pound retaining wall blocks put in the back for traction (55$ each). In your case, you could buy a sheet of plywood and screw some 2x4 stiffeners under it, then a couple of 2x4 uprights down to the steps tp protect the cab soft top. I...
It can wait if you are not crossing streams. I got mine from Big M***s. the one piece silicon ones. it allows you to clean and inspect everything at the same time.
@ Rusty...are you going to "lower" it next and put some hydraulics on it? I got some fuzzy dice I can send you.... hahahaha. it really looks good. I have a galvanized boat trailer made in seattle that has held up great. Good Idea.
tie a plastic bottle to catch the blow by and see just how much is coming out. My transfer case leaks from the seal and it looks like its covered down the side of it, but I check it often and haven't had to add any yet.
would that work on a duel circuit master cylinder.......yes Im too lazy to look it up. but I did replace my oil pressure gauge today and split some wood in the snow.
