    LMTV M-1078 Brake problems

Is there air escaping? I lost one at the start of a parade on Veteran's Day. The only way to move the vehicle was to disconnect the air lines, cap them, then cage the canister as Floridianson said. If air is escaping before the canister then you'll need to track down the source first to...

    M151 value.

It's like asking "how long is a piece of string?" Not enough information especially based on your local. Something that in the States might be a $1000 could be worth 5x as much in England.

I have joined the club ! And yes I have lost my mine !

Easier to cut off then unhook. Just be happy they didn't drain fluids by drilling a hole through all the pans.

I posted some pics on my thread about Big Bend of a couple of French mini-Expo vehicles that were there. It does happen.

Stewart & Stevenson M1082 LMTV Cargo Trailer Air Line Broken

I wouldn't say "any" vehicle. "Any" military vehicle of the 2.5 ton or higher variety should be no problem pulling an empty trailer with the brakes caged but if a State Trooper pulls over a F250 with a 9000lb trailer and no brakes you're likely going to be paying more for that than the trailer...

Stewart & Stevenson M1082 LMTV Cargo Trailer Air Line Broken

Typical trailer glad hand set up. There's a 90 degree fitting coming out of the frame pointing forward then just the hose.

What to do after you get your HAM radio license

Passed! I better since there was an 11 year old there that was going on for his General (I stopped at Tech). Only thing that made me feel better about that was I at least out scored him.

MRAP Alum. black wheels and Michlen 395/85R20's for LMTV ?

Wheels from the Caiman MRAPs will work on the LMTV. I'm not sure if they came in aluminum though. The one set I had were steel.

    MKT99 Trailer Weight/towing

Pulling it isn't going to be an issue, stopping it will be. The base of a MKT is a M103 trailer. Most everything attached is aluminum but the weight adds up quickly. I hauled mine short distances with my F250 diesel but was technically illegal since I had no way to hook the brakes up. If you...

Looking for 1/10sh scale cab only

They're pretty cool looking (I especially like the MAN style 6x6) but you've got to really want one to spend that kind of money.

Looking for 1/10sh scale cab only

Have you tried contacting the eBay seller of that model to see if you could purchase just a body? Looks like he's a dealer that sells a lot of parts so he might have a uncompleted body kit.

What to do after you get your HAM radio license

Merle, I used to live on the other side of the mountains from you in Grangeville. I've taken about 30 practice exams today and never missed more than 2 questions and most of those were because I was just blazing through the test. I'll take it nice and slow on Saturday and should do fine. My...

I'm taking the Technician test on Saturday. I'm using Hamstudy.org and aa9pw.com. My brain feels like it's leaking at the moment.

    New from Colorado

Prices vary considerably depending on the overall condition and, of course, whether it's listed as running or not. Winch trucks are extremely rare and M1079s are going to be twice or more than a M1078. If you can find one locally for sale by private owner then consider the advantages of being...
