    Testing!

Is there something I need to change on my phone to get the site. Still saying "Sorry, the board is unavailable." I tried closing out of everything and going back in, then tried doing a Google search for the site and going in that direction but still no luck.

Also used in Korea where my truck picked up a set.

May need some help with a recovery at Ft. Hood ? Anybody available ?

The question would be why did he get turned away? Did he just try to go to the gate for pickup or did he stop first and get a pass at the Visitor station? They're not at the same location on Hood.

    Wheelspinner's M1078

Congrats! Make sure to pull the front driveshaft but for the rear it's easier just to pull the axle shafts (pipe wrench to remove the hub plug then a 7/16 coarse thread bolt to screw in and pull the shafts). And if it's on base have something to catch the oil from pulling the shafts. That was...

Roadside assistance pre-planning, Nashville to Savanna

Do you have roadside coverage through your insurance? Mine covered an $850 tow bill the 1st time I used it.

    LMTV Gunners Platform Install Start

Bob, Glad things worked out for you when dealing with him. Unfortunately it didn't turn out well for Overdrive and cost him a considerable amount of money. LMTV772 didn't get banned without cause. He was given multiple opportunities to straighten up but seemed to have some sort of drive to...

    LMTV Gunners Platform Install Start

He's demonstrated several times over that it's a personal shortcoming. People have adversity in their life all the time but, just like using alcohol, they tend to bring out a person's true nature. If you're going to be a jerk drinking or having a rough time just amplifies that part of your...

San Antonio, TX Monthly MV get together!!

So when's it going to be? Tomorrow looks like the last decent day (temp wise) this year. If I'm standing around doing nothing I prefer warmer temps. Otherwise I might be tempted to help out just to stay warm and we don't want that.

    Working on the M1078 LMTV

Definitely start a thread. What you run into, especially with a 1088, may be completely different than issues I've had. Specific things like rebuilding or working on the hydraulic pump should go in that thread as well to make it easy for folks to find the info. Reading through 85 pages to...

    Working on the M1078 LMTV

They were the original manufacturer of the FMTVs otherwise I doubt I'd have ever paid any attention to them.

    LMTV Gunners Platform Install Start

Keith, I'm really sorry you've had to go through this. I can count on one hand (with most of the fingers left over) people on this site that have turned out to be scumbags. Daryl Braun is the 1st to come to mind and looks like LMTV772 is right up there with him. If it was me (I'm a very...

    Working on the M1078 LMTV

Things are kind of slow between the holidays but I did take her out for a spin today. Wanted to try out the new steering wheel center cap courtesy of Keith Knight.

I have joined the club ! And yes I have lost my mine !

I think recksmilparts might have some of the new style. If you prefer the original style I have a set that I'd make you a good deal on. Just the mirror heads, no mounting arms.

I have joined the club ! And yes I have lost my mine !

Get it home, dry it out (check for corrosion on the breaker panel), and start the diagnosis. Without some more info it's hard to say what the parking brake issue is but should be a simple fix if the Service Brakes are working.

Congrats! If it's a runner then 8k with shipping is a smoking deal. Even if it's not a runner but easily fixed then it's still a good deal. Of course we can't pass any real judgement until we see some PICS!

Don't the armor panels actually bolt on to it (as in those studs sticking out everywhere)?

    Keith's M1078A1 Project Overland

Well I don't think this breaks the "no insurance" discussion as we're not talking about who covers what vehicles in what states. I have collectors coverage through CHUBB. I had a mechanical breakdown about 100 miles from home and they covered the full $850 tow bill. It was a "front lift"...
