Congrats on the new truck. Sounds like the door latch is missing. Easy enough to verify by simply looking at the spot on the passenger door but the latch takes 3 bolts and if missing the door won't stay shut. When you find a latch I would recommend replacing the slot head bolts with ones that...
Less than a month away from the big trip to Big Bend. I got the MBU out today to make sure it was working. Most of my cooking will be done in Dutch ovens but I like bacon in the morning so will use the MBU and a cast iron griddle for cooking up some breakfast tacos. Anyone is welcome to use...
Exactly. I have the slave cable that hooks to the branch cable and I'm certain I saved a 2 branch cable as I was saving 2 MBUs but just can't locate it in my less than organized shop. Not really a problem this time as I'm only taking 1 MBU but it'll be an issue in the future if I'm cooking for...
Getting ready for the trip to Big Bend next month so prepping my MBU for cooking. I'm pretty sure I saved a 2 burner branch cable from my MKT days but can't find it so it was time to improvise. I had a spare slave plug that just had a 3 prong plug end. I simply cut the end off and used a couple...

If you do wind up taking it apart make sure to inspect the fan hub carefully. Had I been warned before hand I probably would have switched to the new fan clutch and fan when I had everything disassembled for the AC pulley install. The new style is much more robust than the original setup.
If I'd seen this before getting the LEDs I probably would have tried them 1st. Very reasonably priced alternative with the wiring already done for you.

Correct.
With luck they'll last a while. I'll keep the old ones stashed in the truck in case I'm in the middle of no where and they go out. They are different looking but then I've always been a bit of an oddball so they fit right in.
I got some new toys for the front of the truck. I only installed one as I wanted to see the difference side by side. The stock lights were fine on high beam but low beam was like having someone with a flashlight and weak batteries sitting on the bumper. Hopefully these will brighten things up a...
Probably for Combat Identification Panels. These were panels used to ID friendly vehicles through thermal sites. The truck in the picture only has them on the side of the cab but there would have been ones on the front as well. There will be 4 holes where the shown panels are (at least that's...
