Welcome Havoc, can't believe someone on here is from Pekin. I lived there '98 to '01 while stationed in the USCG East Peoria Marine Safety office. Still have good friends in Pekin. When I was there I had a 1951 M37 that I drove quite often. Kids went to school there. Lived not far from the park...
I agree with both of these guys. Either oil is very good for most of our uses. I used my oil pump bucket that I use all the time for the boats I work on. This just reduces the chance of a major oil spill under the truck when all that warm oil comes shooting out and there is a lot of it. I use a...
I am looking for a cargo cover for a M105A2 trailer that is in good shape, doesn't have to be perfect, that is also a reasonable price. I am sure there will be other stuff. Looks like maybe new front axle zipper boots for a 1984 M923 that last longer than 2 years like my current ones.
Here are the photos of when I towed my new to me M105A2 home to Cape Cod, MA. from Fort Dix, NJ. in an ice and snow storm. No brakes hooked up and used the pintle hook set up that Frodo showed. No problems at all and she towed real nice. Truck really didn't notice it was back there. Good luck...
First time attended last year. Great vendor section with lots of different stuff. Bought some things and will be looking again this year. I come from Cape Cod, MA just for the day. Makes for a long day but well worth it. Thanks to everyone who puts this show on. It is a great time.
Welcome from Cape Cod, MA. Good luck on your truck search. There are some good ones out there but the prices seamed to be going up lately. When you get one check it out and get her on the road. I love mine. Just drove her to work and bible study today.
Welcome to the 5 ton club and to the sight from Cape Cod, MA. Do a lot of reading on here and the TM's. Make sure she is road ready and then go out and enjoy. I really enjoy mine. Add more photos when you get a chance.
Hey George, no problem, wish I was at home to get better pictures. Will be back there at the end of the week. I used to live in your area while stationed in the USCG at Point Pleasant. Lived on Lakehurst Naval Base. Let me know if you need more photos.
The fuses/breakers are on the firewall at the top in the center. One is located right above the the axle vent in the third photo. Check with an ohm meter.
Hey Zoidsfan,
lots of good info here but I have a question I haven't seen dealt with here that I experienced on my NHC 250 in my M923. Have you checked your fuel tank vent? When you take your fuel tank cap off to refuel after running is there a vacuum? My vent was plugged with a mud dauber nest...
Welcome from Cape Cod, MA. Nice looking truck. I used to have a 1951 M37 that I had to do a lot of work on to get it running. It was a great truck, all original.
Hey Farmerboy, I didn't even notice the date on the original post as I usually don't post to real old items. So welcome from Cape Cod, MA. Enjoy the truck and welcome to the 5 ton club. Keep her running and you will have a blast. I know I do. As a matter of fact I need to go start mine to let...
Nice looking 5 ton Maxx. Welcome to the club. Now prepare for some heavy lifting and a lot of accessorizing. They are fun. Drive and enjoy. I know I do mine.
I agree with Suprman. I had the same symptoms and found the answers on this site. Ordered one on line and installed. I checked the pressure before I installed it am was glad I did. The pressure is adjustable and it was set way to high. I set it at 60psi and everything returned to normal. It is...
