Hey General, I now have a set of gov issue convoy light for my M923 and hope to have them installed for the rally and convoy. Last year we used your convoy ahead sign on my M105 trailer as I was bringing up the rear. Can do the same this year if you want or go with something different. Probably...
Tan HEMTT tractor was sold and I think the green cargo HEMTT is going to be in the convoy. Don't know if he is hauling his brother in laws jeep this year. Greg also now has a M920 but don't think that will be ready for this year. Matt is going up on Thursday with a M923 and his M916 but he said...
Hey Flatlander, that is a great looking truck and I bet with batteries she will fire up and run well as it looks like it wasn't abused. Great price too. Hope the EUC clears quick so you can get her in your hands!! Please keep us posted and pics when you do the recovery please. Congratulations...
Hey Mos, the grease gun attachments are called snap in grease gun nozzle tips and are supposedly used for the flush style grease fitting. They are different than the needle type as those are used to pierce rubber or other soft seal to get the grease in. The ones I use have a small beveled tip...
Hey General, I will be convoying up from Cape Cod with at least one other on Friday. Vintage Iron is going up with at least one other on Thursday. I was in the tan M923 last year pulling up the rear of the convoy. Looking forward to another great time. See you at the rally point.
Thanks airborne and moose. I drove her to local car show tonight and did notice maybe a little more speed of the line. Moose I also use K&N on all my civy vehicles and have for years.
Did a few things recently with much more to do. I added a "Steel Soldiers" bumper sticker to the M923, thanks Simp. Swapped out the air filter for a K&N filter. Saw on FB that a few guys were using them and figured I would try one and at $60 I figured why not. Have run it several time with no...
srodocker, I just started mine with a clove hitch to keep it tight and did half hitches at every wrap. That is how I got the spiral look with the half hitch knots. Several times I had to redo a knot as I went the wrong way, over instead of under or vice a versa. Just keep checking and tightening...
Hey M715, I know there is a member on here that was selling tow bars at the show last year and he is in Vermont. His name here is Evil Dr. Porkchop. Maybe a pm to him may get results. Good luck. Also put an ad in the parts wanted forum.
Hey Alice, my truck found me 1984 M923. I was kinda looking for one and even bid on a few on the Gov sites. While looking in the local CL found someone who was selling parts. Called and asked about the whole truck. Truck was in good condition but was missing the engine and trans. They were out...
Welcome from Cape Cod, MA. There is all the info you need here but if not someone on here will have the answer or at least an opinion. Good luck with the new truck. Looks good.
Welcome from the left side of the pond on Cape Cod, MA. USA. Good luck, with your new truck and welcome to the hobby and this site. Great help here with tons of info.
Why not just wrap it with paracord like I did to my M923. Took 100' to do my wheel which was really cracked. Looks and works great. Choose what ever color you like.
