No i have a couple days to make a move. Guy is being friendly/ willing to help me out since a few people put in a good word for me.
My problem is, i am not ready for a truck this size. No place to store it or work on it. I really dont want to get a dead 5 ton in my driveway, i would never hear...
Checked it over today. Does have the Mack engine in it. Oil is clean and full.
Radiator is low.
Talked to owner and operator. Basically its been sitting around the yard for 2 plus years. Just being started and moved when ever needed.
There are plenty of bee's hives and little spots of rust...
A scrap yard got a hold of a 5 ton tractor today. It has the multifuel engine.
I started it(easily), let it idle and build pressure. The brakes dont work. Claimed brake line blown, also told it runs and drives, moved around yard at slow speed.

I've put 100% wmo through my first pump, no ill affects.
Changed it out for a "newer" one. Have run up to 80% wmo so far.
So DB2 has worked with oil for me.
Be prepared for coked injectors,

The 6.2 is capable of alt fuel burning if that is what you are really after.(IDI ricardo type)
I dont think i would trust a multifuel motor more than a 6.2, based on the amount of failures out of the blue to members here.
Be prepared for the worst.
Bring spare filters, some extra fuel line, some heater hose.
And you will really want that second fuel tank after the drive, 20 gallons is not much.
Try spinning the engine over a tad by either the crank bolt or the flywheel teeth.
Could be weak starter, start gear not lining up right, or being stuck out.
One problem, most member settle there fuel for weeks before pumping from the top for filtering.
Also having a drain on the bottom, to eliminate water sludge and whatever else settles out.
