I think B-o-T was referring to the M1010 setup.
Most CUCVs use the Drivers side alternator for 12v, and the pass side for the 'additional voltage' needed to make the 24v.

Personally, I would inspect the welds on the snout, and the threads of the holes bolting it to the flex plate. If you had broken bolts, and a broken flex plate, these could be suspect.

I think they are a female input, but I cant recall for sure, its been way too many years since I messed with a 205 case.
You might try sending a PM to Greybird, as I know he has had the t-case out of his 1031, to have it fixed. (pretty sure he has the 205... 1028 converted...

Ditch the forklift... use a floor jack on the cross member, with the trans/tc bolted together.
also, use some long bolts in place of the lower bell-housing bolts, and it will make it much easier to line up.

It sounds to me like you have a crummy connection. Get a battery terminal brush, and clean them up.
When I did mine, I found there was really only one place each line could go... that is, unless you bend them too much. Technically you arent supposed to bend them at all either.
There are 2 safety switches that will prevent it from continuing to run. One is Oil Pressure, one is Temperature. Locate the switches, and verify they are operating properly.
I had trouble with my oil pressure switch after an oil change... it was super cold that day, and I changed the oil...
I suspect you will find its still a tired injection pump. You are cooling off the entire pump by quenching it with cold water. It is common for them to be hard to start when hot, if the pump is shot. Read up on Diesel Place - Duramax Diesel Discussion Forums, I am sure you will concur when done.
The automatic feature will not touch the sent box, just the in box.
It is being automated due to the number of people that cant keep their box clean, causing posts in the forum for 'so & so' to empty their PM box.
The old forum used to do it, only in a different manner.... it would only allow...
