What have you done to your CUCV today/lately?
Replaced the basic rubber wiper blades with rain-x Latitude blades (17.99 each at Advanced Auto). Wipers move much better now.

You mean besides Steel Soldiers ;-) (look closely at the picture). Navigon Mapping or Waze depending if I have cell coverage or not. Also great for browsing while waiting or taking a break at work. Often check my email before I leave traveling...

relocated my Ram Tablet Mount from my Silverado to the M1009. The Silverado has to get sold to make room for a M35A2. Anyone looking for a 2005 Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab Long Bed?

Mine were 100% tight. Took it apart, added some shower pan liner, and reassembled. Works like a champ. Need to remove the star screw on the cover to gain access.

Fixed the driver side mirror holding. Put a small piece of rubber under the clamp. 3 days and about 12 door slams later and it is still in the same place. Pics when I do the passenger side.

Replaced the power steering pump and bracket (old pump was fine, bracket wasn't), changed the oil, got the wipers working again by jumping the power and ground at the motor connector (worked) reconnected everything and it works. Probably a voltage...

Fixed my rear window crank. Pin was slipping past the screws. Add two SS washers, filed the side towards the center flat and cranked it down. Works great.
Be CAREFUL. Get a volt meter and check the voltage between your chosen "hot" point and the chassis ground BEFORE your fry your electronics. CUCV Electric has lots of diagrams like this one http://www.cucvelectric.com/cc.pdf which shows the FRONT battery positive terminal as 12V, not the back...
Batteries $0.08/watt hour. Solar panels about $1.50/watt. They were 5.00/watt about 5 years ago. The battery cost is how many hours do you want to run how many watts.
Yes, batteries are expensive. Panels and inverter are from 1999. The solar shed and a 2KW Honda generator powered our 3 campers while we built our house over 3 years,
Hooked up my M1009 to supplement my 600w solar panels to charge a 24V battery bank. Batteries are running a 4000W inverter to run most of the house during a power outage. Clear skies, no wind, no nothing, but the power is out anyway.and yes, the is a 24V jumper cable to a NATO plug on the shed.
