You don't need a SF97 or title to remove it from G/Ls storage lot, just your paid invoice.
Since you live on post and do not plan to drive it public roads right away, the only issue would be with the post. I'd talk to the MPs...although since the lot isn't far from the housing area I doubt...
My manual shows two diffferent 3 color patterns for the CUCV. One to reotuch the original paint job if say a fender had been replaced, the other pattern is for a full repaint.
Jerry Mambretti, a member of the MVCC had a M38 with a M151 engine in it. I never did look too close at it to see if it had the 151 transfer case/tranny as well or what. He purchased it that way, and was converting it back to the M38 engine.
The donor truck was a '91 1 ton, so the dash wasn't the same. Didn't realize until today that our body style was ever offered with OD, but was fortunate enough to find one in a buddies wrecking yard. So now I'm complete, ready to swap over...now I just need time.
Never thought I would do it, but now that I have multiple M1008s and a free 700R4 I'm gonna. So for those who have done the swap, what did you do for the gear indicator now that it has an OD spot?
Pretty sure I have everything I need ,TV cable & bracket, just wondering what to do on the gear...
1009s hold up pretty well to getting t-boned at 70mph on the driver side. Guess how I learned that one:-x I also learned Colorado State Troopers are morons, thankfully I had 4 witnesses that saw the broad run into me.
What do you want changed about GL?
1-get rid of the $150 minimum on certain items. Some of them aren't worth half that.
2-whatever it takes, don't let Tim leave Sierra Depot!!! Better yet, clone Tim. If everyone working for GL were like that man, you'd have one awesome organization!!!!!
Piece of cake, did it many dozen times when I lived in CO. Simply went into the DMV office (Widefield office where Alco used to be many decades ago). Filled out a statement of facts that the trailers had been brought back to life and re-assembled from parts obtained through surplus. They gave me...
I fired one of my employees Thursday for being on the internet. He couldn't understand why  I don't pay people to use my internet service, my computers and my time to browse the internet. "but...but...we're just about to have a baby" Not my problem, happy job hunting...
Piece of cake, just got done doing 11 of them 8) Under $100 in parts and 20 minutes labor per trailer. Doing one with a 12 volt electric pump this weekend for a buddy who's too lazy to pump the lever
Yeah, I know nopics :?
