Are you talking about wheel bearings? Or differential lube or are you talking about the king pins and such. For all u joints,bushings,king pins, ball joints, any where there's a grease zert I use "green grease" it's water proof heavy duty and works really well. And it's green that's another plus.
Yes deffintly change all fluid and filters as soon as you get your truck. You never know how long it has sat and how much water has gotten in everything.

Yes the spin on filter replaces the big canister filter on the frame rail in the drivers front wheel well. It fits in the factory holes that the canister fits in to. Makes the filter change cheaper and easier.
Yes it was at the end of May the filters just came in this week. But for a full filter change it's 230$ normally but I ended up getting them for 60$ a truck with the sale.

Yea it deffintly sounds as if it's loosing fuel or compression. Like floridianson said maybe you should start small and check fuel filters first check the fuel pressure make sure your not loosing prime. When I got my m923a2 it drove fine for the first 20 or so miles but then the block fuel...
Sounds like your loosing compression, everytime it dies it's cooling down enough to get enough compression to start again.

or your fuel shut off solenoid may have an internal short causing it to get hot and cut it's power and turn the fuel off maybe.... That's kind of a stretch but maybe...
