Yes the spin on filter replaces the big canister filter on the frame rail in the drivers front wheel well. It fits in the factory holes that the canister fits in to. Makes the filter change cheaper and easier.

I think jcaperella has used air dryers for 75$ but I would recommend getting a rebuild kit for it.

Yes it was at the end of May the filters just came in this week. But for a full filter change it's 230$ normally but I ended up getting them for 60$ a truck with the sale.

Sounds like your loosing compression, everytime it dies it's cooling down enough to get enough compression to start again. Or or your fuel shut off solenoid may have an internal short causing it to get hot and cut it's power and turn the fuel off maybe.... That's kind of a stretch but maybe...
