Don't let it get you down. Just order up some dog bones from this site, fix it and enjoy. By the way, running over the gophers only makes them dig deeper. Ask me how I know.
I studied the pics for a while; this is just an opinion, but you might want to reconsider this purchase? Pic number 7 of 9 makes me say this, but then again, I don't know what your overall deal is with the seller. Just food for thougt. It's more fun to DRIVE these things than it is to work on...
Just be sure (also) to push the little red button real hard to get a good contact when you fire it off. Electricity, being a flow of electrons, likes a good contact.
There is also a thread a couple of years ago about re-tuning the 'tuneable' military base antennas to citizens band frequency. I purchased a couple of the military fiberglass antennas from a guy in Israel and installed them on my remaining deuce, but have never actually hooked it up. Yet. CB...

I've never seen the temp guage over 200 on my deuce, but it did actually get to the 200 degree hashmark driving over the transmountain pass of El Paso on a day that was about 104 degrees with 10% humidity. Hot day. But then again, I had just replaced the radiator with a new one, and I run...
