Yep, 1100X20's are a tight fit as it is....1400's?????? Me thinks the rear tires will mate!
I guess if you don't try you will never know.
I would be interested to know if it will work.
Mabye Hightechken is right! I will just gut all of my MV's, install newer modern engines, guages, driveline, etc and all will be great!
My military radios work just fine and I plan on keeping them that way. Call me a "collector".
Sorry, you also need another cannon plug for the interrior plug...mabye use the one removed from the outside and run pin C to the run/start switch at #26. when in doubt, the numbers of the switch are printed on the back side of the converter box.
OK, go on JATONKA's website look up M-35 manuals....it's TM 2320-209-2-2
page 27-4 and 27-5.
The 3 pin cannon plug mounted in the wall to the right of the converter....not the one at the top next to the 2 pin plug....is the plug to go to the fuel pump. I believe its pin C.
You take off the wire...
I found it...I need to get to the hangar today and will let you know....
I assume that you have the cable that was supplied with the kit that you use to plug into the DC outlet on the outside to the breaker and fuel pump.....if not, your going to have to do some wire swapping on the outside.
You...
Interesting. The aft square plate is the bilge pump access hole....or rather the 'dig out the oily junk hole'. Not that I'm an expert but haven't seen the front hole in a goat.
If the system was converted to 12 volts, I guess you would only need one battery and could use one of those boxes for...
Thanks for that imput. I believe in the above posts that 4 amps was figured out and that he is going to use a 10 amp power supply.
No, a school bus heater is nothing like a M109 multifuel heater. Believe it or not, my google works and I have spent a lot of time with several schematics to get...
There is no data plate on my blower so I hooked up and amp-probe.
24VDC at 2.3 amps on high. I can assume that it takes 150% for start-up.
If you considered voltage drop and other varibles, 4 amps would give you a comfort zone.
I will look at mine later today. I'm still trying to figure out how to hook up the mulitfuel heater!
I also agree that the vent fan dosen't do much but make a lot of noise.
After about 1 1/2 hours of searching this vast site I am unable to find the wiring schematic for the M109A3 converter unit and how to wire the rear fuel heater to it.
I have a rear heater but don't know where/how to connect it to the converter.
This unit has never been installed completely in...
I have never ( I shouldn't have said the N word) seen in a TM to tie down the steering wheel. I have tried to tow a larger vehicle with a smaller vehicle with little success. I pulled a M109A3 with a Gamagoat and couldn't get out of 3rd gear. When I made a turn the Deuce "pushed" the rear of...
Yea, My 109 has the "paper clips" cut off the front bumper. It's a USMC vehicle. I had a chance but dropped the ball to get the hooks for the rear. The ones I saw were a bit different. Didn't have the rounded eye in the end but large clevis's installed.
Someone told me awhile back that they...
It's also important to note that the USMC had mods that the Army mostly didn't.
Many of the M-35 series trucks had steel rings / hooks welded on the front bumpers and lifting arms installed between the rear axles. Did you ever wonder what that steel pin is for attached to the top of the spring...
There have been some USMC type of unit markings found on vehicles. I have a M109A3 that was bought about 14 years ago. It had the 3 color MERDEC pattern hand brushed on.
On the doors, hood and back door was a diamond, kinda like <10> . The inside was red and the lines outside were yellow.
I...
Wesley Chapel is close to me in Land O Lakes.....Hummmm, didn't think there were many MV guys around here. I guess if someone says they saw me driving my 109 around it might be you.
I now have an alabi.
Don't feel bad. A friend of mine a few years back complained that his M-38's LH front lug nust were so corroded that he broke all of them off in an attempt to remove the tire. I dropped by and showed him the little L on the broken studs. I also showed him the manual.
He ended up buying a case...
