The shipper was willing to wait in the area for a day or two. I just needed to give him SOME information, which GP was unable to provide.
What really irked me was the CSR that told me there was not someone else I could speak with when I am SURE there was.
I have made plenty of purchases through GL/GP over the last 10 years, thanks. Usually I can get some sort of information on pickup before payment has cleared. I don't need to make an appointment.
Just tried to call GP again, VERY VERY VERY unhelpful! I asked if there was someone else I could speak to and I was told there was not. I tried to reiterate that the ONLY thing I need to know is if pickup was available today or tomorrow. That's it! I don't need to schedule anything, just need a...
Hey Guys,
I have had an issue with GP that I am not very happy about. I won an item at the Auctions yesterday (Wednesday), and I had a transporter that was going to be in the area today (Thursday). I called GP trying to figure out what days load out was available at Huntsville, but he...
Hey Guys,
I need to figure out an approximate weight of an M942 (w/w XLWB chassis) truck. I know its basically the same as an M928 (25,400 Fully Equipped according to transport guidance) just without the cargo bed, but I don't have any weights for the LWB bed/tap/bows etc to figure out the...
Hey Guys,
Been checking pressures at the cans this evening, and I have a question, in the troubleshooting TM it states:
"Air pressure to service brake chambers must compare with reading on primary air pressure gauge. Air pressure to spring and service brake chambers must compare with...
Is it possible that on this M936 that there is some failure resulting in the inversion valve being operational and only four of the eight rear chambers are functional? I can't remember if the inversion valve blocks out the front brakes or not, from memory it does. I know the front brakes are...
Hey Guys,
Trying to help a friend diagnose some brake performance issues with his M936A2. I have no experience with wrecker variants of the M939 series, so I don't know exactly what they should feel like, but they seem weak. The truck has non-functional ABS, and it is rare that the tires...
Hey Guys,
I have been hunting for a spin on fuel filter conversion for my M816 and I am struggling to find out the micron rating of the factory fuel filter. I have searched but haven't found any information I can back up with another source. I have heard these PT pumps don't like too...
Hey Guys,
I am trying to help a friend with a HMMWV with some braking problems. Popped the master cylinder cap and found two fluids that were NOT getting along well, you could see two separate materials clearly, and some of it seems to have coagulated slightly. Does this look like a mix-up...
I'm not aware of wheels other than your current wheels or other Unimog wheels that will work. Your bolt pattern is 6 on 205mm. There aren't many vehicles that use this pattern. About the only vehicle I am aware of would be a Sprinter 3500 Dually. They are 16" wheels, could run them "backwards"...
Hey Guys,
I have been having an issue with my M925A2's fuel tank cap/strainer. Originally my truck had a screw on strainer assembly, it was a steel strainer with what I think was a stainless ring to screw onto the tank. After a few months in storage, I found the strainer to be BADLY rusted...
Bumping this thread seeking some help, I am having the exact same issue (Seems like it isn't charging, or has heavy draw, then vibration/chatter from the GP relay and the voltage comes up). The link above is no good anymore, bad relay or card?
Hey Guys,
I was servicing my M816, and I noticed that one wheel cylinder on the front was a rear (2") and one was a front (1 3/4") - Has anyone seen this done? Any advantages or ill effects to be known? Don't have another front cylinder to throw on right now. Thanks!
I wish you the best of luck, I hope you get somewhere! Very curious to see what the result is. The original problem is infuriating, however locking your account without access to paid invoices seems like it is crossing a whole other line.
Hey Guys,
I have a T138 case from an 809 truck, it has the always-like PTO on the back, was wondering if taking it out of the equation is as simple a removing the PTO unit, and adding the cover plate to the housing? Not sure what the inner workings are like. Also, if anyone knows where I...
