Anyone in this thread still active? I'm in the Tri-cities too. Picked up a couple deuces last June. Would like to see some local green.

Has anyone ever just put a camper shell on a deuce instead of modifying a M109?

There's a real nice compact one sitting in a marina lot a couple towns over from me. I'll have to stop in and inquire some time.

Here's a photo of the remote valve on my m109. I'll see if I have pics of the dash.

    Electrical soldering/connections basics.

One thing I would add to this, or maybe I shouldn't since it may confuse a first timer... but: Always tin your soldering iron. Basically, clean the tip of your iron, then apply a small amount of solder to the tip. Not enough to make a blob, just enough to smoothly cover the tip. This will...

Wow. You got a great price on that. Makes me wonder how much could be made flipping one of them. Good luck with the rest of your trip!!!

One of these little beauties looks like a proper scale slide in camper. http://cdn.doityourselfrv.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/small-fifth-wheel-trailer-quantum-3.jpg

    M109 Box Removal

Mine are a little dinged up, but very much intact and functional. I can see how they might get wiped out though.

Has anyone ever just put a camper shell on a deuce instead of modifying a M109?

I like this idea. Not far from my house is the shortest 5th wheel camper I've ever seen. Can't be more than 15' overall. Should fit nicely on even a deuce. I was thinking it would be fun to stick (backwards) on a large pontoon boat. Instant house boat.

Has anyone ever just put a camper shell on a deuce instead of modifying a M109?

That was brought up in the Reddit thread where I found that photo. My father always told me those GM campers were sweet, but never why. It was nice to see the why.

    M35A2 Charging system questions

28.8 is as high as you would want to go. Even that is slightly over charging per prestolite.

Has anyone ever just put a camper shell on a deuce instead of modifying a M109?

My parent's had a Trail Manor camper back in the 90's. That thing was REALLY cool. Way better than a tent or the new style "hybrid" campers. Really idea for this type of job and very light. We towed ours with a minivan!
