Snow pic A3 with frozen parking brake

I find, even on a normal day, if the truck is trying to roll backwards, the parking brake wants to bind tighter. I have to clutch out in first to get it to let go.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I also need the last frame member that holds the Pintle. But I may replace that with a piece of structural C shape.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yeah, I wore ear plugs. I only have one neighbor within 1/2 a mile or so. I made sure they weren't home. PM me a price on a tail gate. I still have one, but it needs a lot of work too.... You're about 5.5 hours from me. If the price is right, I might make the drive. Heck, if you have a...

    recovery day

How do the "wagon" type trailers handle on the highway and stuff?? Seems like most wagons I've seen like to weave at speed. Wouldn't want that thing "wagging the dog".

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yeah, this was barely worth fixing. But I'd like to to be able to more easily use the bed until I can buy a new one. I may go ahead and spend some money on a c8x11.5 or similar to build a new fascia for the tailgate to mount to. But the steel to do it is half the cost of a nicer bed. The...

    Survival 109 build

How long of a piece of 3/4" do you need? And what diameter would actually work for you? I have an old 40's logan lathe. I can't promise good looks, but I can turn something down for you.

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

The final stage of any rebuild is to drive it like you stole it. Run it hard, just don't put it away wet.

    Electrical soldering/connections basics.

There are some applications where solder is a poor choice. For example, most of the heavy gage wiring on the deuce is a nice, ultra flexible stranded wire. If you were to make a soldered connection on this wire, it would be easy to apply too much solder and have it "wick" up in the wire. This...

    Electrical soldering/connections basics.

I'm sorry, but I have to argue your point here. I think the fact that solder isn't used in residential or commercial wiring has WAY more to due with practicality and feasibility than anything else. You are commonly joining multiple 14ga, 12ga, or larger solid copper wires. Which is fine, but...
