I'm looking for the rod journal dia for a LDS 465 1A. I found the dia for the 427 in TM 9-2815-204-35. The TM shows 2.977 to 2.976 for the 427. Are the crankshafts the same? Thanks,
Well i spent most of the day dragging a m52 home today. It's pretty much complete, but needs a lot of TLC. The engine tag tells me it's a LDS 465 1A.
Is the lagista site still up? I need to get a peek at some TM's.
I picked some carc green from alpha-heaven. After painting some components i've noticed the carc scratches really easily. Am i doing something wrong? There are basicly no directions for appling it on the cans. I'm using rustolem primer . I think it's sticking to the primer well, it just seems...
Has anyone rebuilt the steering box? The manual said you have to unbolt the engine and move it over to get it out. Has anyone tried it? I'm thinking of going through it still in the frame. That's if i can get the pitman arm shaft out.
Well i finally did it. I got the dropside on today. No pun on the single handed , I get the metal pins out of my hand tomorrow so it was pretty much useless. As soon as i figure out the new digital camara i'll post the pics.
When i get to the last post, somtimes the message is blank . I can see where someone replied be there is nothing in the message block. If i try to reply it will not post my message. If the last post has print in the message block i can reply just fine. Do i have some setting off somewhere?
I'll be installing my dropside bed soon. Does anyone know what kind of wood is between the frame and bed? Mine is rotted enough that it's not going to work. It looks like red oak, but as rotted as it is i can't be sure.
As some of you may know i have been cutting diesel with used motor oil to cut down on fuel costs. Desert Rat and i won a couple of centrafuges on a auction. Today they arrived and i put them to work even before i unloaded them from my truck. These gems are also refegerated, down to -20deg c...
The other day i installed a relay on a civi truck to keep the low beams on when the highbeams are turned on. I was thinking of doing this for more light on my duece. I was going to use the high beam indicator light wire to charge the relay. Do you think the headlight bulbs can handle the heat, Amps?
I started gutting out the cab today. And i'm thinking of using a spray in liner in the cab. Anybody tried this? Does it insulate at all? Noise or temp?
I'm assuming this would be a modification? Anyway, after spending the last few hours tring to break down a split rim. I've decided to put a silicone lube on the tire beads to help with the next flat. Anybody ever tried this? I know, I usally take mine down to the tire shop also to be...
While rebuilding my front axle this weekend i mesured the seals in the kit and cross referenced them to commerical part numbers. The inner axle shaft seals are #450074 . you can sub #470074, 480074, 410074. the difference in the metal outside case for the seal. The pinion seals are #430101n...
I finally got out of my chair this weekend and swapped the air shift T-case into the truck. (I didn't have anything else going the fourm was down) The steering is a bit easier, even though i had already installed the selectros. I'm ready for a road trip to see if the mileage went up, but at...
