Dirt Every Day episode featuring an LMTV
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h99gUlJB1Gc
Pretty sure this is just a 20 minute commercial for GovPlanet, but whatever. Was pretty fun to watch.
I wish the LMTV had locking diffs, it's almost perfect otherwise.
Was going to tell you your pictures didn't work but you figured that out faster than I figured out I wasn't on the last page.
If you are heading out to the farm this weekend let me know, I should be able to go on one of the two days (probably tomorrow).
I just hope someone figures out who to talk to to get them legal to export so I can bring one back to canuckistan. Until then, all I get to do is dream.
I have driven truck on and off for almost 10 years and never figured out why some trucks had those things. Heh.
One time I even asked my old boss who has well over a million miles OTR and he had no idea either.
That's (probably) a bummer for me, as it means I won't be able to import it into Canada. Oh well, maybe one day they will title them. Thanks for the info.
I'm fine with off road only but I won't be able to get an off road permit without a title, which limits me to private land only.
I'm also not sure I can even get it into canuckistan without a title, but i really doubt I can.
I spoke with him some more, he's thinking it's worth around the $2500 ball park which doesn't seem unreasonable to me in it's current shape. I could see myself being more willing if it was already running, but it does seem like if the weather held up I could probably get it running in an hour...
I've been wanting to get my feet wet with an M/V for a while, and I recently heard of an M152 for sale on facebook a few hours away from me. I had a day off yesterday so my brother and I piled in my car and drove 4 hours north to go have a look at it.
Owner says he's had it for 25+ years and...
hey, I'm from windsor too! Welcome to the forums.
I was just about to post a similar thread to this, I found an M152 that I'm debating pulling the trigger on.
Stranded in a truck stop till the morning so I went through your whole thread.
Awesome build. I thought building a race car was a lot of work! I am impressed with the looks of the end result, I had my doubts especially when I saw the picture with both cabs. I thought it would be ugly for...
That was an awesome read, a bit hard to read at first with dated technical wording but excellent info. I think I learned more in the last half hour than I have all day!
The anti WMO folks can be silenced just by the fact that I've put enough "free" fuel through my truck to buy 1.5 more trucks with, or probably 5 complete junkyard engines.
I've gotten some hilarious responses, my favourite was a guy who just flat out did not believe me and told me I was lying...
I've had a 7.3 F250, and they're great trucks. Mine has 400k miles on it now and my brother drives it every day (well, he's parking it for the winter right now - this will be the first time it's sat a winter in its life). They've got their ups and downs for sure. Mine is 2WD which means if...
Thanks for that informative post!
I found these as well, Bronto BR6 http://www.westernsterling.ca/heavytruck/new/Bronto/2011-Bronto-BR6+4X4-16a9e80b40463845007ca7f040516533.htm
Looks like they are selling them new even. Wonder what they look like after a few years in an oil field. Probably...
