Some of you know the truck. It is my converted M1031 to an M1028. It is sitting on a 6” ORD lift with HMMWV 37’s. Weight is about 6000 pounds. I am ready to have this shipped asap. Email me at jgrant68(at)mac.com and we can talk about what it will cost me.
I am due in Utah on January 17th...
Not Much to the best of my recollection. Certainly within the 50-60Hz buffer zone. Getting time to load bank it again. Sadly, I may do a deinstallation thread. This unit is going to Utah with me!
Job is transferring me to Utah. I will likely update the thread with the addition of an automatic transfer switch at my new house. I have an autostart board to install, etc. that will freshen this thread up a bit once I get my family settled out there.
I usually purposely keep mine adjusted up to about 62 Hz in anticipation of load draws like the heat pump, etc. once I am running at 50%-75% load then the Hz normalizes to around 60 but it fluctuates with varying current draw. Most modern electrical devices will function fine at 50-60 Hz...
Mine sits about 30' from the transfer switch. I have load tested my particular generator to produce 15,200 watts for about twenty minutes before going out on an overload switch. I figure that's about 63A doing the math. These units will produce more power that folks give them credit for and they...
Maybe I will look at upping my power steering pump pressure "just in case". I previously unsubscribed to this thread because I didn't see any point in trying to convince you that my setup works just fine. Rarely have I had to winch myself out of anything but I will tell you that the winch will...
Liebsce if I could find a single thing to criticize with your trailer, I would say that I myself would have went with LED lights. Other than that, beautiful work man! Since your set is portable, if you had enough tongue length on the trailer, you could incorporate a small power distribution...
Man, that is a real slick transfer switch. In all honesty, my 200A manual switch is very much overkill. I would highly recommend your exact setup and may even go with the same at our cabin. If you don't mind, could you tell me where you purchased the meter base interface?
Your setup looks very...
I have 32 up armored 1100 series HMMWV's currently on my yard that are configured exactly the same as my truck. The difference is, they weigh about 13k pounds versus my 5900 pound truck. Sure, they have a 6.5 liter versus my 6.2 but the power steering pumps are pretty much the same. I didn't rig...
Just remove the hose between the hydroboost and power steering box and add the winch to the circuit. The only other thing I may do is add a cooler later but right now all is well.
