I'm not familiar with the M135 but I also suspect the airpack as I had the same problem with my truck and rebuilt the airpack and now problem solved!
Hang in there and as others have said anything can be rebuilt. After I got my brakes all working great my rear diff shredded up. Never knew why...
I just bought a 1973 Wain Roy backhoe, when I looked under the engine it has a big cast iron grate under the engine that's angled to protect the bottom of the oil pan and such. I'll try to take a pic, maybe that will give you guys some ideas. It almost looks like a grate from a fireplace...
On second thought I saved you the work, here are a few. PM me and I'll tell ya where to find them on GL, don't want to break the rules on the site here.
SeanEboy, once you get the fever there is no getting rid of it.. I too wanted a Deuce badly for several years and once my old 90 Chevy 1500 rusted out from under me I wanted something more durable. I got by Bobbed Deuce for $5500 which is a steal because I know people pay almost that much just...
I would hone down the cylinder and then smooth out that area as much as possible. Is that some grey RTV sealant on the end? I had to use that to seal up the end since the small gasket I had snapped before I could get it in place. So far it has worked out fine. I have used that stuff for my...
Easiest and cheapest is to get some regular off road lights and swap out the bulbs for 24v bulbs and wire them as normal. That's what i did with my off road lights and they work great! The LED's are very nice though..
I take the Deuce to the car show whenever I can, I especially like when showing up (the car show is in a parking lot a little down hill) I put her into first and let her crawl in.. The sound just gets people to turn around and smile.
PS, your rig looks awesome!
I am debating on selling by pretty much brand new 9x20 NDT tires from my generator trailer since I have an extra good set from the deuce. These are not 75% tires they are like 98%, still have the nubs on them and even the seam in the center, also zero dry rot. I may consider selling all 4 (on...
Yeah the truck is all flat black. I may have done a camo job but the compromise to get it with the wifey was that it would all be one color.. I'm not complaining..:-P
You guys seem to know what you are talking about but since I just went through timing my MEP002 I thought I would share one critical thing someone mentioned to me. You can set the IP and Flywheel to the PC mark, however with each revolution of the engine the flywheel spins twice, so unless you...
Lookin good! I did the muffler upgrade too and noticed a big difference but I don't have a turbo on my truck. Also I couldn't get a good recording with my phone either. Now that you have the muffler on you may want to upgrade the air intake with one of these. However sadly Donaldson is not...
Surprised no one mentioned checking the fuel filter for water? When I first got my deuce I took out about 1 cup worth out of the primary filter and another 1/2 cup out of the secondary. Not to mention there was no primary filter installed! Also like to ditto Heath's comment to drive like you...
Here is a pic of what the new switch should look like. You can see the big nut at the end of the airpack has been capped off, that is where the original switch was. This should help you determine which one you have. Now my hookup may look a little different because I don't have an airline...
