Are the np208 transfercase vents similar to that on deuce axles? you push them down, release, they pop back up? or what? because im getting leaks from both slip yokes on my transfercase, after changing both seals, so now im just curious about that vent. Also, are these vents actually threaded...
The check valve is the nipple ontop of the IP cover, correct? i took it out and sprayed carb cleaner in both ends, i never witnessed any carb cleaner actually coming out the opposite end, but i figured that was just from the small bead inside blocking it?
i cleaned the check valve. i filled the tank with fresh fuel from a truck stop. it started up and idled normally. my hopes were high, so i took it for a spin down the street. right as soon as you get on the throttle its very apparent that power is just not there. soon enough after it warmed up...
I did as you said, doghead. i replaced the fuel filter with a brand new one, i put diesel service 911 in the tank and i even took it one step further and cleaned out the return valve on the ip cover with carb cleaner. here's the results: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgL-q8AToXg
ive been using the silver bottle of diesel service, not the winter blend, but havent used it in my last few tanks. im more concerned with it being the harmonic balancer and the more i try to run it the more risk i run snapping the crank. I'll try the filter and 911 if you feel strongly about it...
