Welcome man, there are alot of GA, TN, AL members on here. I'm a pirate lurker almost daily, but there's so many posts and stuff I don't really keep up with it much. I love the shop build threads and the tools and towing forums.
Some of those dudes are hardcore wheelers and some are pretty...
Nice! It looks like you got some fluid or something in your front rear tandem. Also, make sure you check your torque rods...I did some flexing like this and messed up one of my trucks when the torque rod popped out.
I know you're not wanting to part it out, but I would at least take all the winch stuff off and sell it for ~$800 and then advertise the truck for $1000 on farming and 4x4 message boards. 4x4 guys would pay $800-1200 for a set of rockwells, and will buy a truck and recover some of that money in...
Good news, I reserved a single axle 6x12 tilt trailer from sunbelt rentals instead of a 6x12 ramp trailer from uhaul. It should hopefully make the loadout easier.
m16ty, on the weight. According to Van Norman collectors/restorers the weight is approx 1800 lbs originally. With a motor instead...

My first EUC in Feb took 3 weeks, 2 of those weeks was at Battle Creek. My second EUC just cleared today after 2 weeks of waiting. But GL sat on it for 7 of the 14 days and the other 7 was at Battle Creek.
My EUC was cleared from BC today - got my PIF Invoice! It'll probably be May 1 or May 8 when I go for my pickup/recovery though based on their backlog from event 4107.
Thanks for the pointers, IDK on the tilt trailer though. I think I'm going to bring my 2 ton engine hoist though. Along with chains, comealong, high lift jacks, pipes, pry bars, and who knows what else.
Well, looks like I'm going down there on Tuesday. Does anyone have any pointers on how to get a 2000lb piece of iron onto a uhaul trailer? I was hoping to slip someone in the shop with a forklift $50 but apparently I'm on my own.
Anybody wanna come help? :-D
It's all in how you drive it. Weight and shock load will kill the axle quickest. If you can discipline yourself you should be fine on 33's. No lift and slight trimming or you can go with a small lift. I'd KISS though.
I went to the DMV in Shelby county with my 'bill of sale' (PIF invoice from GL) and the documentation that came in the truck.
They supervisor had to come up to help the poor girl at the window. He went and made a call and came back and said that I needed an SF-97.
I called him later that...
