No, I don't believe that is the case, as the PO said he added oil because it was low.
He simply didn't know how much oil to add and he put in WAY too much!
(he thought it was an 8 gallon capacity, & he didn't allow for the oil to drain down to the crankcase before rechecking the level.)
The...
I would probably only do this once every year on my MVs.
BUT I already do this after every race for my race car engines.
(but these engines can cost over $10K to build, so the cost is a very good investment!)
Find a local race track or off-road club & you'll probably get a pretty constat...
Wow!
I'd have to sat that either you got a bad batch, or you live under a leak in the Ozone layer, or your nosy neighbor who hates MVs is cutting your tires!!
I think I'd get the next set from a different vendor/source. I'd guess that these weren't stored properly prior to you getting them...
Thanks "nf6x"!
That's what I'd assumed.
Does this vent line route to anything else?
(I know, I'll have to just crawl under and see where it goes...)
Is it OK to leave it as is? OR should it be capped?
(It has probably been this way for MANY years, but I just worry about a line that is...
When I look thru the access panel in the driver's floor at the brake master cylinder I also see a disconnected hard steel line with a threaded fitting just to the passenger's side of the MC that connects to NUTHING.
Is this supposed to be some sort of vent line for the MC?
If so, where...
I like how it looks!
Appears to clear the fenders well, even when turning, & I like the wide-track stance.
Wouldn't be great (or probably legal) on the street/highway, but probably great performance off-road!
Yesterday I picked up a recently purchased M35A2 that I've purchased from a private party.
The PO isn't very familiar with Deuces, and accidentally overfilled the crankcase with oil (it is approx 2.5" above the full mark (checked 5mins after running)).
But based on what the PO told me it could...
I often wonder why no one has offered a dual-circuit brake upgrade kit for the single-circuit Deuces.
I'd probably buy one! (Assuming it doesn't cost as much as another deuce...)
I believe that the dual circuit system is only found on the A3 series.
Has additional booster(s), and also has a dual fill reservoir located on the firewall.
I could be wrong but I don't think a dual-circuit system was ever installed (by Uncle Sam) on an A2 series.

You just HAVE TO post pictures of the destruction!!
We ALL hate it when things break, but I think that most of us enjoy a good "look what happened to me" story!

IF one DMV/Tag Office can't handle an unusual title or registration you might be better served at ANOTHER DMV/Tag Office! Sometimes it is simply easier to find a smarter monkey than to attempt to educate the monkey you have!
I agree that the DMVs can easily confuse the contract number & the...
Nice Find! I've never seen one of those variants before!
Memphis Equipment & Alpha Heaven are good sources for parts.
Not sure if they'll have anything for the crane, but they might be able to point you in the right direction...
"Cheers!"

TOO STEEP for me... fat lady sings
Problem is that with newer Dueces selling on GL for around $2K (or less) it is hard for most people to justify buying an older truck with less power for more money.
With G749 parts becoming scarce you could argue that a complete G749 series truck is...
